Bah Humbug!
So Christmas is cancelled then?
I've taken my Christmas decorations down and bunged up the Chimney to make sure Santa doesn't try anything silly. I've returned the presents I bought online as I am covered by the Distance Selling Regulations in the UK.
The kids are crying and so is Mrs JawsIsTheNextKiller.
But on a positive note, I don't have to watch Home Alone AGAIN, I'll have more money in the bank and I shouldn't put on too many pounds this month.
Is anyone else seeing positives on BHVRs decision to not give us Christmas menu music?

I’m actually really bummed. It’s such a simple “event” but it was special for a lot of us. Something small to encompass the Christmas spirit.
I understand them focusing on game health and stuff, but small events (even just asset ones) are important for keeping people interested, too. You have to find the happy medium.

We no longer get events. Makes one wonder why they even came out with christmas sweaters? No reason to wear them since looking around the game you couldn't tell the difference.
Every season looks the same in the game.

Hopefully they will stick to their word and iron out a bunch of bugs and give us a better Christmas next year.

I'm bummed that we don't even get a simple Christmas theme. Would it have been that hard to copy and paste the event from last year?
1 -
Yeah I was mildly interested in the DwElf cosmetic but as its full price for a seasonal cosmetic and apparently theres no seasons in the game anymore... Whats the actual point?

My faith in humanity has been restored this holiday season. I'm glad someone gets it.

I wish i still had your child like wonder and faith in BHVR.
6 -
I still consider myself new to the community, so there’s still time for all of the wonder and faith to come crashing down.

@AvisDeene it is a shame you were not around for earlier events but it may also be a good thing since you don't know what you missed.
Welcome to the community!

Thanks for the welcome!
As much as people like to complain about this community, I don’t think it’s that bad. I’ve met lots of nice survivors and killers. It’s just the toxic few that make it seem like everyone’s bad.
I have been watching some funny DbD videos on YouTube. I wish I was here for some of the bugs that have been fixed. I would have loved being a levitating T-posing killer or a floating survivor.

Really? They are not even going to double blood points for a bit?
At that point it's just going into a bit of laziness tbh; there is no way increasing blood point gains requires THAT much attention away from other things.

@AvisDeene The community isn't bad. I believe much of it is derived from frustration at times.
As far as dealing with bugs and stuff you are in luck every patch and update brings them. Old bugs also return so you may get to levitate and T pose you just have to believe.

I hope they make up for having no event.

Double bloodpoint event is starting on January 2nd 2020.

I very much agree with you on this, I was going to get Ash's and Yui's but what is the point? why buy or use shards to get something when there is no event and the devs aren't in the season of xmas :(
2 -
It's very depressing :( we all should be in the spirit of christmas no point in dwight elf, may as well put him back on the shelf.....i wanted so much for SOMETHING after the huge disappointment withthe Halloween event
2 -
I want my winter party starters and gifts
3 -
Not really, i have music turned off in the menus.

I was really excited for it to come back. Since I started playing on console they did it for the past two years and it was small but it was still nice to have. Now it's just sad that they cant put lights on stuff and change the theme and background. At least for Halloween we kinda had an ambiance.
I still cant get over it, I was really looking foward to seeing the snow and lights back :(

I have my xmas sweaters and santa clown from last year i bought. I was hyped to roll out them out and play and i just won't now. I'm not in the mood.
I hate being so negative towards BHVR lately but damn everything is so lame Halloween and Christmas got nerfed!
3 -
That's exactly how I feel. I was hyped to wear the sweaters and the festive skins because the lobby, music and lights just kind of got me into that mood. Without them, to me it just feels pointless. That's just me though

@PhantomMask20763 I actually don't like playing clown but bought the cosmetic and didn't mind playing as him. I would even switch up to him if i got the 4 in the lobby with sweaters.

Awesome, good to know.

But that's double bloodpoints with no Christmas theme and no festive gens. So while the extra bloodpoints are appreciated, it won't feel very special.

@JawsIsTheNextKiller It’s also after the holidays which defeats the purpose of holiday celebration, and is when most people are returning to work.
It’s also shorter than the past two winter blood hunts.

@not_Queen @PatBrutal @Peanits Please read the feedback in this thread and take under consideration. I know it’s probably a done deal this year, but please keep in mind for the future how special this small event has been to many of us.

I know this doesn't help and doesn't ease your pain but these cheered me up as made me want these in dbd for next Christmas!! 🐷 Thank you to Mr @HatCreature who shared these 🐽💕
Behold the glory!! (also please riot with me so we get these for next year!)
Boops for you @JawsIsTheNextKiller and Mrs Jaws to ease this difficult time.

Did you know that Snowball ammo in Eve-Online's annual winter event deal negative thermal damage? :D

DbD is already very repetitive, the same stuff over and over again, nearly no customization (I'm talking about mods) for the players to spice things up... And Now no event again.. Dbd becomes more and more boring. I thought the rift/tomes would spice the game up for me again, but it didn't. In fact, some challenge made me very frustrated.
An event would have a great impact, even if it's just menu music/theme and some fire crackers. But we have gotten nothing.
This is a very sad time for DbD, ngl. Im currently playing less and less, even black ops 2 zombie mode feels more refreshing atm. Besides the fact that I can run this game on 100+ fps im highest settings while dbd is creeping around 60 fps on lowest settings..

Same I've been busy with resident evil now I want a resident evil themed chapter
1 -
Im extremely disappointed, for them this event is only a skin for dwight. But i dont play him. I want my music and lobby atmosphere

@Almo you have to know that "events", chapter releases and mid chapter updates not only bring old players back but also recruits new players. I don't think anyone is asking for something similar to sucking juice out of plants, carrying lanterns or anything crazy like that but the winter lobby, the bloodwebs last year with presents and of course the decor in game(lockers, trash cans hooks) keeps the game fresh/interesting without these things this game is the same all the time.
I understand why less focus is on "events" but this game is more balanced than it has ever been. It will never be perfect. The game has and always will have bugs it is part of its charm. I do believe though BHVR has made a mistake with these non events. Double Bloodpoints doesn't bring players back for some it is a turn off as it changes how the game is played.

Did you see the remake of 3 coming 4/20? I can't wait. the remake of 2 was very good and this new multiplayer mode looks fun.
