*If* the Doctor ends up nerfed

I won't understand the mindset Devs have with DBD going forward, considering that killer queues are near instant while survivor queues take a long time (this has been commented on many times, indicating that there are less killers playing in general). If the doctor ends up nerfed/unfun to play AS, that would just bring more people to throw up their arms and cross another killer off of the list.

I worry that if the rework makes him a top tier killer like Freddy, then the Devs could nerf him like they did with Oni and people will be bummed at another lackluster killer (albeit doctor is pretty lackluster already without addons).

Your thoughts?

I don't think it will be either of these things.

Assuming the changes go through as they showed, Static Blast looks like a much more active ability than Static Field, and honestly just looks way more interesting and fun (to me). And shocking without needing to go into a 110% movement speed mode and then switch back again to hit seems like a very nice buff.

Nothing insane about these changes to make him too strong, so I really wouldn't worry about that either.

Doc is just annoying to play against. I hope the change makes him more viable and less irritating.

As far as I can tell, doc is getting buffs across the board. Plus he's getting his own chase music, so that alone makes him God tier.

Doctor was never good anyway so it would change nothing

My friend really likes the passive Static Field effect; it's his favorite thing about Doc, and he'll lose that with this change. He also likes being able to just stay in Treatment mode without going into Punishment until late in the match, so again, that's another thing they're taking away. Those two changes will almost certainly kill his desire to play Doctor, which is one of his favorite things to do in DbD. So, that will be one less killer player.

Also, without Treatment mode, Doc will lose the ability to counter survivors faking hook rescues to force a hit, which is a damn shame. I've never actually done that, but I want to try it, so I guess I'll have to play Doc more before the changes go through.

I doubt Doc will jump that high on the tier list. I expect him to be mildly better.

Is there a release date for the rework yet? Cause Doctor is my main, but when I get to red ranks I hate myself cause he just isn't optimal there and I just stop playing killer till reset.
