Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Would Myers/The Shape be OP if Survivors' stalk limits were removed?

By "stalk limits," I'm referring to how each individual Survivor can only be stalked for a limited amount of time before they no longer give progress to Myers's Evil Within meter. As you stalk someone, their highlight turns from white to pink to red, and once it goes completely red, that Survivor is completely drained and stalking them does nothing. I am asking about the idea of removing that limit and making it so Myers can freely stalk anyone for as long as he wishes.

I ask mainly because I think it would be cool to give Myers a way to drop back to Tier 1 EW from Tier 2 to go for more stealthy approaches a la Ghostface/Wraith/Pig, but I don't think that is terribly viable as is because that means Myers has to stalk evil from a still finite supply to get back to Tier 2. Removing these caps would in theory solve this issue.

Absolutely. There is no way this would be balanced without significant balance changes to Myers.

Yes, but only a little. A few small trade-offs would make this idea doable.

No. This would be a reasonable buff to Myers without having to nerf him in other ways to compensate.

I think at least the addons that increase the stalk needed (Moris, Infinite) would need to add that cap back again.

For playing more like a "default" myers it would be fine, but for something like Tombstone myers it would be too strong and easy to reach T3

Hard to say. The main thing I don't like is the potential for 1 guy to feed Myers all game no matter what, has a lot of trolling potential.

Imagine being Infinite T3 Tombstone Myers and bodyblocking someone in a room of Badham/The Game/Haddenfield until you get your T3 and Mori

It wouldn't make him OP per se, but it would be easy for the killer to find that guy that doesn't even try to not feed him, and tier up very fast. Which at base could be very frustrating for the other survivors, but with some addons could be borderline broken.

Maybe instead of removing the cap, make that a survivor's personal stalk meter goes slowly down over time, so they could be stalked back later.

With what he's given it's more than enough for one match.

Also Myers can already be OP with the use of his mori/red add-ons.

While I don't like the Stalk limit, some of his add-ons would become absolutely busted if he had no limit to stalking Survivors.

Nemesis + Judith's Journal would be even more broken than it is right now and Fragrant Tuft of Hair and Tombstone Piece would be way too strong.

Base Myers would probably be fine with no Stalk limit, but with add-ons he'd be too strong.

Myers is the best stealth killer in the game... and that's it. He's a good at something that rarely even works. He's a joke.

He gets looped and genrushed. Just like every other killer in this game. He gets ran around the shack and genrushed. Just like every other killer in this game. He gets ran around the preschool and genrushed. Just like every other killer in this game. He gets ran around his own house and genrushed. Just like every other killer in this game. He gets ran around the coal tower. Just like every other killer in this game. He gets ran around palletwork miserable. Just like every other killer in this game. He gets ran around the wretched shop. Just like every other killer in this game. He suffers from Keksisive egostroke. Just like every other killer in this game.

If they were to remove the cap on how much he can stalk... he'd still get looped, he'd still get ran around the shack/the preschool/haddnofun/the coal tower/palletwork miserable/wretched shop/etc... and genrushed.

so long as the cap comes back for things like tombstone, hair, and other ones that increase the amount you need to stalk give the limit back it should be fine.
