Why no Reserve pips for rank 1?
i recently got to rank 1, and immediately noticed there are no pips you can earn shown in your rank, which i think was different in the past(i think you could have earned 2 extra pips). So my Question is: why doesnt this exist nowadays? For Example: You get to rank 1 as Survivor and the next 3 Games you would earn a pip,but in the next 1 or 2 Games you get moried or die instantly,and then you get back to rank 2 altough you played the last games decent. I know ist no big game influence,but it would just be a "nice to have" feature. What are your opinions on this Topic? im interested in them.

If you think rank matter cherish that moment it wont last long
rank doesnt mean anything you cant even tell now it just means how much you played in this month because of new rank reset,
so since you wanted to be R1 now you will stay in red rank till ranks rework, enjoy

At one time I think you could earn five pips at rank 1.
I'm guessing it's because you're at the highest rank in the game, so you're expected to play with little to no mistakes every time?

could be, but we all know that at red ranks there are many Killers who got there through "undeserved Gameplay" (noed,moris,etc) and because of such Player the good ones would fall back,which is kinda undeserved imo

You can safety pip and keep your rank. I do think there should be 1 pip though, just because it's dumb to derank from a single bad game. Sometimes it's beyond your control.

I mean sure, if you care that much about being rank nr 1...
Im not against it, I just dont care for it at all, but hey if it would make you happy ill support it.

Not sure why they removed them - even the best players can have a bad game (or two or three in a row) due to camping, getting tunneled into the dirt, disconnects, keys/mori, or just RNG into a bad lobby made even worse by the horrific matchmaking that goes on now.

Its not that i say its totally necessary(especially with this matchmaking which gives a f about ranks) but i still feel like you kinda deserve any kind of a bonus after good games at rank 1 which would rank you up. You know what i mean? But thanks for the nice comment.

Why do you need to take the time to say rank is useless? It is literally the only way to get decent teammates and if OP likes to be at the best rank, then just let him

Because they want you to bounce between rank 1 and 2 like a pinball for some reason.

i met as many as useless teammates in R1 as in green rank (but red ranks are even more immerse)

I think if you can do red rank as survivor on the first day it means some stuff with the previous system of getting from 10 to 1. Currently it's kinda just meh.
Killer is a bit more difficult since it's harder to PIP or even safety on some situations.

I'll admit that the new ranking system is terrible but maintaining yourself on the red ranks requires skill or at least goof matches

Maybe rank 1 but not red ranks. With matchmaking rn there is little difference imo.

Because its a title, if you wanna keep that title play well i guess... but in all honesty survivor is very easy to safety pip if not pip/double pip, the only time i lose my rank 1 will be due to spawning near killer and being mori`d straight off the hook or the killer DCs before i can earn enough points in all categories but the next game i just pip again. it really doesnt mean anything at all though, rank means nothing at all, i see many red rank survivors that dont even know some of the basics

having said that i much prefer this way, its nice to know youre capable to maintain that rank no matter the killer, perks or map. but dont get hung up on ranks, for me the worst thing in this game are double pip`s even more so as killer. but survivor is pretty chill at red ranks

It bugged out with one of the emblem system updates and they decided to make it a feature.

I don't know about chill I probably get just as irritated with most of the survivors I play with as any killer would.
It's even worse lately - just cannot put me finger on it. :/

Survivor is very chill compared to killer, but it does make killer easier due to more players in the lower ranks meaning those really good survivors are split up more often unless SWF but SWF has always been broken. personally i like it this way but now they just need to fix the DCs and people killing themselves on first hook and ill be happy as thats what ruins the game most for me, not a team that isnt the strongest.

I play exclusively solo and I get very irritated I cannot just kill some of my fellow survivors like a killer could.

Who cares, the only thing u get for be rank 1 is, nothing, except, tryhards, mori, campers, tunnelers, sluggers and nodders. When they will implement rank rewards (for example 100k bp for ending the season at rank 1) i will go back there but for now im good around rank 5

Undeserved? Oh you mean the stuff the devs put in the game for killers to use to kill survivors and have the good ones fall back?

well not only that at red ranks using insane add-ons to either end chases fast or kill someone fast like iri hatchets, mori`s etc. you get far less points and are less likely to even pip, people shouldnt complain about NOED, i get mori`s because theyre kinda broken but so are keys, but noed you had plenty of time to get those totems if you wanted and if you all get slugged by noed then you wasnt playing smart and thats on you not the killer perks

Ranks need to be done away with completely. Over the past few years of playing this game all I’ve seen is confusion over a broken match maker, one patch you sit there 30 minutes trying to get a lobby, next patch people are getting kicked in the middle of joining a lobby next they get kicked while the games loading then back to long wait times , it’s never ending. Even now it’s broke which is what the photo is for, me being a 10 the way I understand the system I should get no lower than a rank 7 survivor or no higher than a 13 and it’s supposed to be decided by the lowest ranked survivor in a swf. So why is it at rank 10 a 4 person swf all joins together within 30 seconds of me being in the lobby and I’ve got a 3,a 4, and 2 5s? I should only see ranks that low if not many are playing and I had to sit there a few minutes waiting for survivors not within 30 seconds. For the most part playing survivor and getting to rank 1 is all about the amount of time you’ve played not so much about skill anyway but for some reason 9 of 10 red rank players are outright toxic ######### that have a big head because they’re red. Just do away with ranks and throw everybody in together and do away with all the confusion and the need for posts like this.
