I am not a red rank survivor
I double vault killer shack window into the killer's face, I hesitate at loops with blocked line of sight and get lucky if I can make it back to the pallet, and I can't seem to fast vault properly. I am terrible in chases against a competent killer 50% of the time.
How the hell am I at rank 4 then? It's embarrassing when I get caught so easily and die first, and find out that I'm the only player in red ranks that game. The pipping system really needs to be looked at.

Why ? Because as sad as it is, rank doesn't matter at all. It only shows how much you've played a given month. We're getting a rework sometime in 2020 though, so here's hoping ...

stop complaining? what does rank matter? no one is expecting you to be a god, a strong survivor team is simply people who do gen`s and heal each other, just lead on a little chase which really isnt too hard. its all about wasting the killers time and thats it, as long as you dont rage quit etc. then its fine, if youre at red ranks you know the basics of how to survive, do gens and run from a killer. having a mixture of skills in a survivor team also makes it more fair on all killers, im actually seeing a range of killer at rank one instead of the same 2 types of killers which btw is boring as hell so its nice to see. i dont care if my team cant hit ruin or lead on the best chases, i just wanna have games and have fun which is what the game should be not something so competitive..

That's unfortunate for you mate. These ranking problems cause an increase in swf teams, which people love to complain about

I always end up overthinking things at red rank. I'm assuming every killer has 2000IQ and so I make dumb plays because I think they're going to do something crazy to counter my better option and I end up dead in 2 seconds because they just walk up and smack me. -_-

This scenario is only going to get worse as the months go on.
Your rank is only going to reset to purple at the reset... along with everyone else's.
Soon, I really believe that the bulk of players will be ranked at higher ranks regardless of their actual skill level.
Then using this "Red Ranks" population, the devs will start to use this data to balance "high ranks" while ignoring the fact that they've contaminated the data for their intended purpose... or maybe it's deliberate.. who knows.
I believe ranks are meaningless, and this is only going to make that statement even more true.

Dev`s dont balance at red ranks as it is so it wouldnt change anything balance wise, its why the old red ranks was harder as killer and easier as survivor. the game should be more chill and people nee to stop worrying about ranks tbh

We can assume that they use data from those ranks to justify certain adjustments in addition to data from lower ranks.
Ranks don't matter, but the data the devs use makes it matter more than it ought to.

before the rank change the look at purple i think (that sort of mark) but if they balance for how red rank is now that`d be fine tbh, survivors i feel are so use to escaping or having all good teams but it shouldnt be like that. iv been rank 1 killer and survivor since release, sure alot has changed but its the same concept, this rank hasnt affected me, i still get teams that cant do ruin or even lead on a huge chase, before this reply a teammate got gen grabbed in the first few seconds but we still did good. it should be more about everyone enjoying the game having a chance as either side which i feel wasnt the case before at red rank and killer was far harder, by no means do i main killer probably 15% time is spent as killer before this change i just know the game was very survivor sided so having these new people who may not be the best as killer/survivor are welcome, they make the game more challenging and different IMO.

I personally agree with you - Rank is meaningless insofar as exact skill (relative skill I do think has some merit in looking at rank). That being said, I’ve definitely been yelled at postgame for being a boosted survivor if I have a bad game and my color is anything higher than green, so some people definitely hold stock in it.

I mean there's more to the ga.e then looping. Being bad at one aspect of the game isn't a sign you don't belong in the ranks you're in. It just means that's the area you need to develop.

the people who have ago at you endgame or anything are the toxic half of this community which is sad, i did write a full comment to someone else but for some reason it didnt post but the idea is as long as everyone in your team is doing something the game will go fine. i know im a good survivor, by no means am i the best but i can loop really well and hit ruin but that isnt needed to be a red rank survivor, before the change iv had red ranks that cant hit ruin and others that cant lead a chase. but the game is a team game, its why if someone DCs or struggles on first hook escaping is a hard task no mater how amazing the other 3 are. overall have fun and play, try your best but dont worry about it, the more you play the better everyone will get and it makes the game more fun when everyone isnt so good the killer dont have a chance. but i had a hag,doc and huntress today as rank 2, dude i havent seen a those in ages! before all it use to be was spirit, freddy, ghostface so this new change iv actually really enjoyed seeing some of the less popular killers get played

The ranks aren't skill based they are time based. As long as you play decent in game and play enough games, you will hit red ranks

To be fair, I do loop well sometimes, and I have a lot of knowledge about the game and what I should do in specific situations. I just, you know, vault into the killer sometimes

I was just joking around, looping is not that important if you can have decent game sense. Also, by "you" I meant the profile you described

Ranks don't matter bud, I see rank 1-3's getting knocked 3 minutes at the start of the match, don't worry about your unlucky chases, but I've heard they will be updating the ranking system some point as I'm sure,
