I give up. I waited for the console optimization for too long but I’m done waiting now. I’m NOT touching this game again until it gets optimized!
And the most thing that irritates me about this issue is the devs’ reaction in the forum. They literally just ignore every single post about console optimization as if console players are nothing to them.

The Game has come a long way. Not sure if I'm just lucky or my console was built by a blacksmith god, but I don't experience issues nearly as often as others do.

Lucky you. For me,The Demogorgon is unplayable because the FPS becomes soooo low.. also when I play Hillbilly the FPS often drops at the start of the chainsaw lunge so I basically can’t even curve. even though my curves are mostly fine when I don’t get the FPS drops.

My Xbox runs the game pretty well. The only thing i have problems with is skillcheck's they are a bit choppy. So i can't hit greats like i can on pc. Which makes it hard to work through ruin.

Keep saying it to yourself. I already tried to do this but I keep playing. I am a PC gamer so idk what is happening on console

For survivor it's tolerable. For killer though sometimes is frustrating with the performance issues. I have to constantly restart the game after a few matches because otherwise it becomes very slow and unbearable. PS4.

I wouldn't call being lagged every time the killer hits you "tolerable".

That doesn't happen to me. I always make sure I check the killer's ping before committing to a match. On the other hand, when I play killer, there's frame rate drops every time blood lust activates. I don't notice anything when I'm being chased or hit as survivor.

I play both killer and survivor equally on PS4 and majority of the performance issues are killer sided. It's gotten slightly better over the last few months but there is still a staggering amount of instances where interacting with survivors makes my game stutter. It's nice to be able to grab survivors while unhooking again without my game completely shutting down for 5 or so seconds. But any quick movement from a survivor i.e. Sprint burst or speed boost after a hit make my frames drop to almost nothing for a second or two consistently.

Me neither, i been playing for awhile for a sometime now and i didn't experience any issues till today, maybe im just not experienced enough on the game to see issues

By any chance, do you have an SSD in your console?

I don't believe so. My Xbox has an HDD only as far as I know. SDDs are external, right?

You can swap the HDD with a SSD. I was noticing that many who upgraded to a SSD had less issues on console. Tho, the keyword is less. There where still some issues going on

My ping with killers linger in the low 109-95 range and it's always that first initial hit. To make sure it wasn't just me, I ask the other people in my group and they experience the same thing. I read that supposedly moving it back to my one x hard drive (main) would fix it, but that kinda defeats the purpose of me moving it to begin with, lol

I play on PS4 pro and usually don't have issues except for latency occasionally

I play on PS4 and notice lag when the killer is near me for the 1st time. Frame rate stutters.
When playing killer and I hit any tier of blood lust I get a huge lag spike and miss if I happen to swing at a survivor. It's like my character model does a quarter turn when I BL.
Also I do have the game saved on extended storage of 1TB.

Honestly. And half the other people who say console is #########. It honestly runs really well with only a few hiccups here and there sometimes. But all games have hiccups soooo

I only have issues with playing Killer which is why majority of my hours are put towards Survivor. I can't stand swinging and being sent into 10 FPS Land. It's horrible.

Has anyone else had an issue with the m1 randomly swinging attack and not working when you want it to? It doesn't happen much on my pc but my laptop is pretty bad?

Bruh, my skill checks are choppy as ######### on PC anyway lol and if it's a freddy, then fuggedaboudit, that screen effect bs blowing around absolutely murders my framerate lol

I put dbd on my ssd once and a every once in awhile the game would just freeze/lag randomly for no reason when I was playing. And once I switched back it stopped doing it. And only dbd did it

On Xbox your frame rate can drop dramatically and often when you're in a chase or even getting notifications.
