Omg cannibal can insta down multiple survivors! That s OP lets nerf him. Ow trapper have traps let s nerf him. But after all i dont see a player who say hag is op and to be honest the hag is killing machine with right add ons. Potus the old nurse at rank 1 was god he was 100% kill rate, now its patatoe, at that time no one was crying.

Yes he absolutely does. Safe loops are still safe once the pallet is dropped. You just can't loop the safe side of a pallet 2 or 3 times before you drop the pallet when you're asleep like you can against every other M1 killer. His snares and pallets also do nothing when you're awake. The counter to him at loops is to drop the pallet. That's it. You're never going to run out of pallets if your teammates aren't AFK.

Freddy has the Highest Kill Rate right now I believe. However, that doesn't necessarily mean he needs a big nerf, but a small one (and not bhvr's definition of small when it came to Nurse).
I think that slowing him down while placing Snares/Pallets by, for example, 5% is more of a QOL change. Clown and Huntress are slowed when throwing things. Demo, Nurse and Plague are slowed when charging things. GF and Myers are slowed when stalking. Trapper and Hag need to place their traps for a few seconds (and Hag loses momentum when teleporting, for balance reasons mind you), Wraith, Spirit, and Pig are slowed when changing states (I'm not sure if doctor is, but that's getting changed soon anyways). Literally EVERY killer is slowed when using their power. Legion even has a stun for 4 seconds afterwards. Yet, Freddy gets a decent power (Snares), with a second decent power (teleporting to gens, the most important thing in the game) and then a minor stealth ability. A tiny little slow down while placing snares/pallets wouldn't gut him, it's more of a QOL change and may bring his kill rate down a percentage or two, if it does at all.

Or we could just look at those Killers and see how we can buff them instead of nerfing Freddy. The more strong Killers, the better.

they just need to fix framerate against him. I literally dont wanna play a freddy if going into dream on a gen lags out my game or drops my frames to 30 while in chase

Borrowed time does work you just can't be oblivious, he only has 10 snares and he can't see any auras without perks.

The most broken thing about him is his lunge. Fix that and he'd be tolerable but as of right now, he's just as annoying as Legion.

Freddy has the same exact lunge distance as every other killer ingame

While someone whos asleep cant apply BT, they made the deep wounds status effect not dependent on TR. Before with Freddy, if he hit someone who had BT on, he just had to follow the person for abit and theyd drop due to their timer going down. With the change to deep wounds, the timer doesnt go down as long as someone is running away. BT still isnt really gonna help against a Freddy who's legit camping, due to Freddy being able to sleep anyone going for the save by hitting them, it at least works once its actually applied.

When his lunge is able to hit you two or three steps after lithe has activated, it's a problem. You're obviously a Freddy main so you're going to defend him no matter what so it's really pointless talking to you.

I was just curious what your problem was since you specified that by "broken" you didnt mean "range". "Broken" can mean alot of things, and since PERSONALLY I can make Freddy attack when I push M1, I assumed you didnt mean he wasnt functioning for you.

No it isn't.
The stats determine red ranks as a match which had a red ranked killer in it. They ofc gonna be higher when red rank killers can play against green survivors or purple. These stats are utterly meaningless.

From what you described of being hit after taking afew steps after a vault, that sounds like similar latency issues that plagues survivors for ALL killers, not just a Freddy thing in particular. If you had said something along the lines of "his hits seem to extend further than his fingerblades than other killer attacks from THEIR weapons", then a possible fix for that could be to adjust the animation to make it LOOK better and more accurate.
Side note and completely off topic... Everytime I use the long bar addon on Bubba and hit people after theyve vaulted with his chainsaw...I always giggle knowing they THINK they just got cheated and have no idea im using an addon.

I think the biggest problem with Freddy is the fact that he just does so much.
No matter what people say, he IS the killer with the highest win rate at red ranks. Does that not say at least a little? Though I do think there are stronger killers, but Freddy takes no skill in comparison to killers like: Spirit, Huntress ,nurse, etc... And they are some of the top killers RN.
I think it's fine if he does so much, but there needs to be more room for counter play. I think a healthy option is just to make it so ANY alarm can wake you up. It sucks when you want to run across the map just to wake up, then a few seconds later get hit and get put back into dream world.
Another thing I find really odd, is that his design is meant to be a really good end game killer, but has nothing for end game? His mid game is one of, if not THE strongest in the game, but he has almost no end game pressure. I wonder if teleporting to exit gates could be a possibility?
Idk, I think his design as a whole is that he does so much for so little. I think he could go for some nerfs AND buffs in certain categories.

That's what I meant. It's like the "wind of his blades" gets him the down so you can see, in a sense, how it appears unfair then.

They're kinda restricted abit by the weapon and character model. The reach has to remain consistant with the other killers, but they cant change how long his blades look, and giving him stretchy arms to make him LOOK like it hit can still make people feel cheated into thinking the character shouldnt have that long of a reach (even if its the same as every other character). Imagine if his arms just grew during his animation to resemble this.
What suggestions do you have to make it both feel accurate AND not seem like a BS animation while maintaining the same range?

He's too strong AKA I can't be bothered to wake up so I can make his power useless.
Freddy is fine the way he is, sorry if you want him to go back to F tier but as long as you stay awake the following will happen.
- His teleportation cooldown is much slower
- His power is pretty much useless
- He's basically an M1 killer.

Mobility is what allows killers to have map presence. You take away his teleportation ability and Freddy literally becomes a glorified Clown.

The problem with that example is that you got hit within 10 seconds by a base m1 killer which freddy is if your awake

I totally agree with you on that! No one plays as the Hag anymore because of Freddy being able to teleport. I feel that his teleport ability should be an add on. All Freddy's use BBQ and Chilli now and it's annoying. I had one run that perk with hex ruin, Pop goes the weasel, and thantraphobia. Nothing got done and the match was garbage. But of course the usual killer players won't agree with you because God forbid any survivors might have a balance with any killer so that they could escape.
