Question about thanatophobia?
So,i was injured and had resilience.Another guy was injured aswell,so thats 8% right? And resilience is 9% so the bar should be yellow, but it was grey.At first i thought resilience was actually 8% but after someone got 3 stacks of dying light in another match the bar was grey so i knew it wasn't resilience, but rather thanatophobia. So is a thanatophobia stack actually 4.5%? instead of the 4% it states it is,and could someone possibly test it in a custom game? Edit:nvm i thought the percentages were additive :/

Simple answer is it's grey because they cancel each other out. A 1% increase isn't much.

9%-8%=1% so the bar should technically still be yellow. It doesn't matter as long as it increases/decreases time you do an action,i know cause a killer had dying light tier 1 once, and had 4 hooks and the bar was yellow.Dying light tier 1 is 2% per a hook so it should have been grey there aswell but it wasn't ;F

You need to find charges per second (c/s). Normal is 1 c/s. Resil adds 0.09 c/s. Thana 2 stacks remove 0.08 c/s. You then multiply those numbers for the c/s.
(1+0.09) * (1-0.08) = 1.09 * 0.92 = 1.003 c/s
It's basically 1 c/s so the bar doesn't change.

it works like that?thought it was just additive :/ guess ur right then

Buffs are additive. Debuffs are multiplicative.
If you have say Resil and Botany and 2 stacks of Thana and 3 stacks of Dying Light you heal at [(1+0.09+0.33) * (1-0.08) * (1-0.09)] or 1.19 c/s. That's a 13.5 second heal on another survivor (16/1.19).

You said that it was grey in a match where the killer had 3 stacks of dying light. But yellow on 4?

Simpler answer is BHVR can't do math.

TIER 1 dying light, can you read?

thanks for explaining,i get it now :F

I can definitely read. In your opening post you said 3 stacks of dying light was grey, and then in the follow up post to my answer you said 4 stacks is yellow.

from the follow up post, and i didn't edit it fyi "i know cause a killer had dying light tier 1 once, and had 4 hooks and the bar was yellow.Dying light tier 1 is 2% per a hook so it should have been grey there aswell but it wasn't ;F"

Had dying light teir 1 once, and had 4 hooks? So he had 1 stack or 4?

4 stacks,1 hook is a stack,it doesn't matter tho cause @thesuicidefox already did the math

I gave you the same answer just in simplified terms. But you chose to question me because I didn't give you a math equation. You countered yourself and I questioned it.

it gives similar results cause the value of numbers is small in this case, lets say you have a 50%(lets say resilience is 50% instead) and a debuff of 30%(2 stacks of thana for the sake of an example). That would seem like 20% of a buff to actions by your math right?Or 1.2c/s. If we do his math we get, (1+0.5) * (1-0.3)=1.5 * 0.7=1.05c/s.
Does that seem similar to you?

Thantophobia had the potential to be a decent perk on it's own, during the 2.6.0 PTB when it's redesigned number values were 4/5/6% up to 16/20/24%. I really don't why the devs didn't go through with this QOL change?

imagine if it was like that

Ok you're just ignorant. I gave you a simple answer, and you try to overlook it because it wasn't a math equation. Then again you're just a noob.

If you play billy or bubba and use the speed addon that deacreases the charge speed and the one that increases by same amount it will show a red bar instead of grey, so the answer is: this game is bruh

Don't expect things to work correctly in this game.
