Lets not forget Lery's is Doctors map
Lery's is getting reworked because its the Doctors map just like how Badham got reworked with Freddy.
Its not because of any misunderstanding and its not because the Devs love survivors and are nerfing every killer sided map. There are too many toxic posts about this. They are just reworking each DLC seperately.
If I'm just repeating something you already know, know that there are a lot of people who are either not aware or ignoring this fact.

Good point lol. Her map is awful as killer, assuming the survivors are even half decent. The middle structure is like a jungle gym on super crack.

Fair point but Nurse didn't really get a rework, her abilities and addons got tweaked. Freddy and Doctor are getting full on reworks.
I can't speak on the behalf of BHVR though, I'm just typing my observations here

It's just people frustrated at all the changes lately being made on behalf of survivors lately..even the last hot fix when two killers are severely bugged, killer sounds are as well..yet they just..talk about how survivors feel a dozen times every time they post on changes..so its understandable how it looks a tad unfair when the last 3-4 patches have been a slew of nerfs for killer while no bug fixes that are much needed have even been implemented

Doctor is not getting a full rework. His power will do the exactly same thing just like how nurse power does the same thing. Yes, their base is changed a little but generally their power has the same goal.
Freddy power is nothing like Old Freddy. So Nurse map by your words should've been changed.

A rework to his base kit would be a "rework" and even then it's just one aspect of his base kit that stills has the same intention and goal which is to increase a survivor madness with your terror radius (size).
Its more of a change then a rework. But I get what your saying though.

Nurse only got a cooldown on her ability with the changes. She didn't get any new abilities or any changes to her existing ability (You can count the cooldown as a change but I'm not since it just makes you wait between blinks so I'm counting it as just an anti-QoL).
Doctor is losing his static field and getting a whole new ability that shocks his TR. He is also getting his 2 modes combines but you can count this as just a QoL aswell. He most likely has more coming with him too since BHVR said they won't give much details yet and these are just a sneak peak.
In addition to that, Nurse rework/tweak was implemented as a part of another mid chapter while Freddy and Doc are getting their own mid chapters dedicated to them.
I excluded the addon changes since both of them have it.

Doctor is getting his Static Field removed, getting a new TR shock ability and most likely more stuff aswell. BHVR said they won't give much detail about it yet. He is also getting his 2 modes combined but I won't defend that as a change, its more of a QoL too.
Also unlike Nurse and like Freddy, Doc changes will have its own mid chapter.
I didn't mention addon changes since both killers are having/had it anyways.

Both his Static field and Static blast are meant to do the same which is increase a person madness with your terror radius. The only difference being one does it passively/over time and the other is a instant new tier of madness (with a cool down added)
And like you said everything else being changed is just QOL (including add-ons since most so far seem to be the same), so not sure how you think this is a rework
And the devs said it themselves in their last livestream, that doctor isn't getting a Freddy level rework. Go back and watch the ending of it talking about doctor. If this doesn't tell you it isn't a rework then I don't know what else I can say to convince you otherwise
And yes I'm agreeing nurse didn't get a full rework, but if doctor isnt getting one either why is that a excuse or reason for his map to get rework but not for Nurse map especially when more people want that map reworked than the Lerys map

Don't forget stance change. Doc will be much better after the rework. Maybe they only change the map if the killer is buffed?

It's one of the strongest killer maps out there, you're smoking something if you really think this is going to be anything but a nerf. I'm predicting a bunch of doors being closed and more open generators to stop those mean old scratched mirror players from scaring the poor survivors.

That's really a QOL and not a rework. He still has two separate modes/power you just no longer need to actively change between them anymore

Since when is Lery's killer sided????? It CAN be but by no means is it by default; it's simply not a total stomp for survivors since they fixed the window spawns earlier in the year.
I'm only sad they're doing Lery's because we all thought it would be Haddonfield, which is in desperate need of changes while having potential for interesting loops and mindgames with its unique style. I mean, it's literally the map that caused Balanced Landing to be a pointless slot use for survivors.
Most killers do when charging their powers in fairness; overall it's still much better than previously, imo, and some of the new add-on variations sound to be much more annoying to play against/potentially stronger, imo. Especially the chaining one. We'll see how it goes, though, since we don't have full details ;)

Lery's had the 3rd highest killer kill-rate (64%) out of all maps. You can see it in November Stats. It is also one of the smallest maps but the statistics are enough proof on their own.

You were saying he'll be moving faster since he doesn't have to change stances and could get hits easier. I'm saying he still slows down while charging his power so l it "won't be much faster" nor easier to get hits if that makes sense.
I wasn't trying to say other killers aren't slow down either just it won't necessarily be much easier to get hits after shocking someone

It has the 3rd lowest escape rate out of all maps. I'm not giving an opinion here, this is according to the data devs published. It is literally killer sided. Take a look at this:

I've seen. If the devs wanted to nerf killer sided maps they would choose hawkins or the game. The rework is purely thematic.

My guess would be that the devs are probably using, "the map just came out recently, people still need learn the layout, and it needs to sit out and not really be touch for awhile" excuse. While Lerys has been here for like 2+ years now even though it has got changes here and there
Just like with the Legion and how they'll change him again but not anytime soon as the changes need to sit out for a bit

Any map people don't like playing on being reworked isn't a waste of time. I currently dislike playing Lery's as survivor or killer, so I'm excited for this change.

All that means we can hope for a Legion rework AND Ormond rework at the same time, that would be awesome ! Legion is ... The worst thing to ever happen to dbd, so a rework is absolutely required sooner or later (although they really want to avoid doing a full rework, I doubt they can make this ... THING work in it's current state), but an Ormond rework would also be welcome, it's one of the more annoying maps, it's nowhere near as bad as something like Haddonfield, but a couple of changes would be nice.

Léry’s Memorial Institute is my favorite map. It's the perfect size with a ton of hiding places, it benefits both Killer and Survivor if you play properly.

He's middle in terms of what a killer should be. Meyers is about the middle of what killers are.
