I don't understand why Behavior allows this large of a gap between ranks
This isn't the first time this has happened. I can really only play at night and this is an everyday occurrence. The only way I was able to get that kill was to tunnel them at the end of the match and they missed their decisive. Well I am decent with killer I'm not exactly that good as explained by my rank( just out of rank 10). I just don't understand why they think this would be fine to play against.

It's been like this constantly, last 20 matches as killer, 80 players, 70 of them red ranks, and I'm green. This is nothing more than them inflating the survivor win rate numbers.

It's not that. If ranking up were easier for survivors then you would have 75% potatoes in red ranks instead of the fuckfest of super coordinated swf teams that it is.
Devs are just refusing to acknowledge that all the balance issues they've created are starting to pile up and there are barely any killers willing to play red ranks these days.
I'm rank 6 as killer and I only face red rank survs, and as a rank 2 surv I never vs red rank killers.

If this doesn't highlight a serious issue, I don't know what is. A yellow rank against Purple and Red? They might as well have just opened the exit right at the start. Really hope this gets fixed ASAP!

There are a few issues atm with match making. They did say it is currently bugged and they will get back on it upon returning from the holiday break.
From what I have seen red rank killers seem to get morw lower ranked survivors from purple to brown and those in green/purple seem to get the red rank survivors.

This is every killer game for me since hitting rank 14, even now that I've clawed my way up to rank 8 I still see nothing but rank 3s or higher in every game.

Exactly this, I can't stand all the people why cry "see killer is great!" when they run into red rank potatoes all day and rack kills (like scott jund) then ignore all the problems the game has against real red ranks (like what happens to Tru3talent) where you'll play the most insanely strong sweaty teams the game has to offer for 6 straight hours

I think there is a lack of killers atm in addition to bad matchmaking.
I am on ps4 and killer queues are instant and they are a few minutes for survivor.
Survivors are always lower rank than killers, no matter which side I play.

I assume it is their method to make the waiting times short as possible.
I hate it also, but without it, the waiting times maybe triple, or so.

Unfortunately your screen shot is showing matchmaking as intended. The survivors were probably SWF rank 3 at the start of the game and then levelled up to rank 2. The +/-6 rank difference is by design. (Also the score summary screen is often wrong by one rank - They could well still be rank 3s)
Of course this scenario really should only be for extreme circumstances but killers struggle to pip and survivors pip every game. This is the issue that needs rectifying. I really hope that is what the devs are looking into.

If i can make it to red ranks and maintain red ranks as a solo potato, ANYONE can make it to red ranks as survivor.
Survivor is to easy and killer is to stressful and difficult (mostly the emblem system)
a "balanced" 2 kills is a depip as a red rank killer
I pick my nose and pass wind as survivor and pip.

A lot of reasons go into it. some of the main issues imo
- Bad matchmaking system in general (duh)
- Its easy to get Red/Purple rank, thus increasing the amount of people queue'd for a game
- Not as many killers at the higher ranks- it isn't exactly fun to VS. a 4 man SWF sweat squad every match
- MM system for SWF pulling Greens and Yellows into Red rank queues, thus increasing the time even more, again lack of killers compounds this issue
- New rank reset system makes the amount of people in the higher ranks even greater, and this will exponentially increase over time as you are now dropped only to the next lower color (Reds - rank 5, Purples to rank 9, etc)

One of the things that keeps it from being fixed is how some big streamers refuse to acknowledge the "4 man SWF sweat squad" is a problem or even exists, thus tricking their audiences into thinking the same. They'll scream "BuT iTS RaRE!!!" Yet mostly play survivor in 4 man swf themselves. Meanwhile in red ranks you can play a full day and only face 4 man SWF sweat squads for several hours nonstop, but if you point that out it's not valid somehow. They remind me of climate denier debates (and about as well thought out)

I don't hate him at all its a video game. I just do not like the negative influence he has on a large number of people by adopting the "I played perfectly so therefore its the games fault" mentality.

Honestly it often comes off like you do even if that's not your intent, that's why I'm so uncharitable about it (or at least have a harder time being less skeptical/cynical). There are a lot of scenarios where you're just helpless or lose immediately and just acknowledging "yeah this is kinda iffily balanced" is all I really want. He's the only one who really adresses it much. You're great at this seemingly no matter what and I think that colors your opinions. To use an anecdotes to explain that, it's like a tech billionaire not noticing the economy is bad because they feel so little of those negative effects (ok crummy pick but the better ones were more partisanly political)
