Footstep Sound Issues

As i am sure this has been brought up numerous times over the past month and yet gets ignored every single time just proves even more the favouritism towards survivors. This whole footstep sound bug situation is extremely hurtful to killer that i don't even think the devs realise just how important it is.

If you go against at least 1 Iron Will that makes them have literally 0 sound at all with this bug making tracking extremely difficult. The bug is that bad that when you try to mindgame a wall they just go opposite direction and you didn't even realise because you cant hear them to make the read. I have even done testing where i have had friends purposely run around me and there is absolutely no sound at all.

Devs just tell us is this a bug or do you plan to just keep this the way it is instead of keeping us waiting over a month with no response. It's ironic whenever there is a Survivor bug you jump to that immediately but when a Killer bug is put in you refuse to acknowledge it. You have people such as TrU3Ta1ent (Who is a Fog Whisperer btw) who has proven numerous times just how important sound is.

I'm noticing also over the past month an increase in "Killer Juke Montages" that's obviously because it is much easier to do with this bug making Survivors think they are gods.

Please take priority in fixing this bug because it is massively important. Imagine how Survivors would feel if there is a bug where all Killers have 0 red glow. Survivor mains would flip and you would fix that immediately.

Yep, this is a absolutely devastating bug. It keeps returning every engine update, and takes weeks, often months to fix. Even though its quite litterally on a gamebreaking level.

It's been going on for ages. It's funny because it's always a "new issue with the audio occlusion" or whatever, but it's ALWAYS that things are much quieter, they're magically never louder; which imo says a lot about how intentional these "bugs" are.

Sound has been an issue with this game since the first engine update in version 1.4.0. Footsteps were bugged for months before they were fixed and they still break after each engine update.

Whether it's footsteps or survivor sounds in general this bug keeps happening literally like every other update...it's getting a little ridiculous. Not to mention every time it happens it takes months to get fixed. These are game breaking bugs.

This is what makes people start thinking these are intentional and just seeing if they can be slipped in under the rug without people noticing. I personally don't think this, but it sure is some really bad spaghetti coding and a heavy lack of QA testing. Why is it bugs that are this game breaking on survivor side get fixed in just a week or two but for killers it's always so much longer?

The most annoying part is how quiet they are about this. We have been very vocal this past month on this issue, but they aren't even addressing it. Just say something for Christ's sake - it's not that hard to at least acknowledge it. We have no way of knowing if this is a bug (most likely it is), or if this is just how this game is going to be now.

Just tell us: are you working on this, or are you not? Are you aware of it, or are you not? It's not difficult to at least tell us if you're working on this game-breaking issue. You told us right away when you were working on the basement bug. But you aren't with this. This is not a minor bug, and I do not understand how they don't realize this. It simply breaks the game.

There was a glorious period of time when the music was very quiet and it made the atmosphere very spooky... and you could hear survivors reasonably well.

THAT bug needs to come back, or sounds should be adjusted for that level.

At least fix the really loud ones like Demo, Billy, Bubba, and Oni...

I REALLY wish the music wasn't so purposefully loud and that character sounds were balanced around that noise level instead.

Sound has been like this for a while. It really sucks too, because us killers rely HEAVILY on sound. I'm almost ready to pull my headphones. The sounds aren't registering correctly either. I've herd steps in front of me when there behind me, injured survs making zero noise behind a wall or rock, but when you walk around, the sound comes back... Chase music drowns out any other audio, and hook screams are blowing my ear drums out.

I've been playing after single day since the patch that caused these issues and experienced zero sound issues as survivor at all. I also haven't seen a single post on the forums mentioning any sound issues on the survivor side.

Survivor is fine. Killer however, is more bugged then fallout 76...😂 Ok, I might have exaggerated, but only a lil...

I can never hear footsteps unless someone is behind me (regardless of chase music or not). And when i turn to face them, the footsteps go away. People can be running directly in front of me and it's like they're tiptoeing around in socks. Really annoying, pretty much have to run stridor on every killer and hope for the best.

This is really anoying, when i play is like one game or two beacuse this bug make things SO MUCH exausting. I love so much this game but beside survivors being so strong killers have this game breaking bug. Every time there is a patch i go to the notes and read EVERY single one hopping that i see somenthing lide "Footsteps sounds for killer FIXED" and not bugs with skins or something like that getting fixed. Survivors have some bugs with the Terror Radius being too loud sometimes but well...at least its working...

Maybe they will release a DLC that includes the soundfiles of survivor footsteps.

    Now only 4,99$!
