Chainsaw killers
They shouldn't be able to move when starting the saw and the saw shouldnt start every time. Have the deves even seen a horror flick.

By that logic why don't survivors suffer perminent hindered when getting out of a trappers trap, or be inta downed by any m1/power that involved a bladed weapon.
Because gameplay is more important that realism

It wouldn't make sense gameplay-wise. Making them stop while charging, or having a chance of misfiring will make bubba and billy's abilities pretty useless.
There's a lot of stuff in the game that doesn't make sense in terms of realism,but as @Seltas0208 said, balanced gameplay is more important than realism.

And survivors shouldnt have a 3rd person camera. Killer should not have a terrorradius and red stain. Unhooked survivors should be in the dying state, and have no i-frames. Survivors should slow down on a hit, not speed up. Injured survivors should be slower than normal.
The list of realism changes would go on, and go. Do you want all of this implemented?

First of all it isn't real, it's a horror movie, how many time they say, hes over there, and then go there. if it was real ppl would of dipped.

Then this can also be applied to a game, which also, is not real. So, therefore, reality and it's laws do not exist within a fabricated world :)

Nothing about this game is realistic. Nothing. People don't repair engines with their bare hands. People aren't restricted from climbing fences or stacking objects to get over fences. People can't heal grievous wounds with 16 second back rubs. People aren't restricted from low crawling, running faster than a killer, or using objects or weapons to defend themselves. Flashlights don't wear out after 10 seconds of use. Escape hatches don't magically appear when convenient. But you are worried about how consistently chain saws start up...

Have you seen a survivor get off a a meat hook that is going through their chest, sprint away and then get all healed up in 16 seconds in a horror flick?
