Is the season pass worth it in your opinion?
I got up to level 64 in the Rift and the rest of the rewards seem lackluster, charms aren't really noticeable by killers and survivors unless you really try to look for it. Cosmetics seem nice, we got another David showing off his muscles, and killer cosmetics.
If I do buy the season pass at my level, I can get the auric cells used to buy the pass back but that's just it. I bought most licensed killers except for GF. And the free battle pass has no good rewards except for charms after you got all the putrid serums

def not

if this rift skins were many or all character wearable i could agree.. but this season is not

I mean...if you already get the cells back, why not? 🤷♂️
More bang for your buck.
Edit: also, charms are very noticeable on killer, since they are huge on the hooks.

Well the free part of the pass is supposed to be barren/lackluster so you have the incentive to buy the premium. The rewards are okay. I don't even play most of the characters but they are okay. It depends what you wanted from it. I wanted to try it and get the whole Claudette and Dwight set. Everything else is a bonus.
If i find something i don't like in the pass like. If all rewards, in my view, are garbage or not worth it. I wont buy it. Some people bought the pass to get certain cosmetics. Which is pretty good. $10 for so many cosmetics. If i were wait 6 months for these it would cost almost the same amount.
Conclusion:
If the rewards look good enough in my eyes, yes i will buy it.

it requiring more grind than fortnite
less skins with lower quality
and i think normal skins much better in general

Not in my opinion. Some of the challenges were fine, but the ones that took you out of the normal game and forced you to play a certain way, as well as your team mates, just ruined it. Devs seemed out of touch with some of these, like the hook rescues and basement camping. In a happy world, it would be a back and forth, but this community takes the easiest, and usually most toxic, way to complete them. Too much stress.

If you think you can reach level 70 everytime then buying it once seems fair. If it's a fluke you got to the end or can't do it, then no. The charms are kinda meh but I am not the target audience.

Don't confuse the rift with the archive challenges, the challenges are free for everyone. Hopefully they will change those challenges to prevent "bad" play.
The only bad thing is that some survivors ruin even the good challenges. 10 hook saves doesn't mean farm your teammate right in front of the killer, but thats what happens when people are trying to rush thru these challenges.

I got far enough to earn the cells right back, so I think it was definitely worth it. Most of the skins are meh, but free is free right?
I would probably buy it even if I only got 500 cells backs. Paying $5 every two to three months isn't too much imo.

Since you can't withdraw Auric Cells back to real money, its not worth it. You buy the cells, buy the pass, get the cells back, but then what? The cells just stay there, with no monetary value for you anymore.

I am a sucker for in store credit.
Is there a Menards in your area?
I buy just about anything that is free after rebate :)

Yes, but you need to complete the tome to advance on the rift. You could technically do it by just playing the game and gaining xp but that would take forever
0 -
No. I’ve not cared much about the rift. The archives are dope but the rift was lame imo.

Very little reward for the grind. I do not plan on purchasing the next rift. It was too much of a headache.

Which is not related to the point I made in any way.
I said, if you already get the cells back, meaning, if he had the cells or was gonna get cells to buy something else... he might aswell buy the premium pass. It's free real state.
Also means the grinding was already done, so it's irrelevant to this.
At this point, it's free skins. And if it's free, why not get them?
And some other people might like the free skins more... so what?

According to @Fibijean's hours to complete the Rift, if you can spend somewhere near 180 hours on grinding, then the Rift is definitely worth every buck in your wallet. Even if you fail to complete the Rift, you can make a profit if you can manage to complete the majority of it. 🤗😁

It's worth it if you feel like the investment you put into it, not only monetarily but also in terms of time and effort, was worth the reward you got out of it.
Personally, I am always on board with collecting free cosmetics, even ones I'll probably never use. I enjoyed earning rewards. I enjoyed having a goal to strive for. More than anything, I enjoyed trying to complete the challenges - the additional objectives they provided, the way they encouraged me to change up my build and playstyle, the sense of accomplishment from completing one.
I enjoyed myself the whole way through, never felt pressured in terms of Rift progress, and never felt like I was forced to play the game even though I didn't want to (except a bit at the very end when I was trying to grind out the last two tiers, but even then I ended up having fun for the most part).
I'm well aware that wasn't everyone's experience, but for me, the pass was absolutely worth it, because I had fun grinding for it, got more cosmetics than I ever would have expected to be able to buy for a measly 1000 cells, and it cost me nothing monetarily.
(Just as a disclaimer, I know this sounds like some kind of endorsement deal, but this is 100% just my personal experience. I think the Rift and the Tome have a lot of flaws, and a lot of ways they could be improved upon, but personally I had a really good time with them regardless.)

This question is, as we can see by the huge swing in opinion, just that, an opinion. It's all in what you want... for me personally, I love cosmetic garbage in games. I'm a sucker. Even if they are cosmetics I most likely won't use I'll go for em... gives me other things to shoot for other than just blood points all the time. I bought the season pass and do not regret it one bit. Others see no value and would never buy it. They aren't wrong either. Just in what each individual wants. I will agree with a few earlier comments tho. Several of the challenges promote bad play. Not sure how they improve on that or if they can but I've still enjoyed playing the game even with that...

Depends what your doing it for. Though if your level 64 I would suggest grinding out that few levels and buying it. It's free charms and cosmetics at the last point will a full return of cells.
0 -
Some challenges are just not worth the stress imo. Sacrificing 4 survs in basement is tedious, and some can be finished if you play nice as killer (Trap survs 6 times in a single match)
1 -
Definitely not in its current state the rewards are meh. No full cosmetics, charms and lazy reskins. Most point to the 1,000 shards but that is in game currency for which you already spent to get the pass. I don't see that as a reward.
Hopefully BHVR reduces the grind and increases the rewards more cosmetics less charms.

You use the cells to buy the next pass or more cosmetics. If you're not interested in cosmetics at all, then why would you consider buying the pass to begin with since it's all cosmetic.
1 -
If you like the cosmetics, it's worth it.
0 -
Depends on how much you play the game and what rewards you want. Personally if the cosmetics in the premium track are worth more than 10$ I'll buy it cause that is a steal
0 -
Don't think it is worth it. I am glad i didnt purchase it.

For me yes because the nurse outfit alonevwoyld cost more and aont be out in shop till next halloween , now some improvements could be made but for their first attempt at this it really wasn't bad

you clearly under 18 and didn't had any economic activities yet
that "if" not works for most people, your time is free? mine is not
as i know this rift can take +100hours to be free, if it was ~20hours most people could tolerate that forced grind to unlock all tiers,
and see option price of rift pass tiers, thats insane for altered skins
thats much more than most people expected
and less efficiency than other battle pass games before
hey, when you said "if" you already knew your next words isn't fit for everyone or everythings

I think the season pass is a steal. Even if you didn't earn your auric cells back, I would say it is worth it.
1 -
I say it's only worth it if you want any of the cosmetics. I bought the Rift for the Nurse cosmetics. It's $10 which is what most purple rarity outfits cost, plus you get your money back based on how far you got. If you are at 64 you'd basically be paying like 50 cents or a dollar for it.

Nope got mega burn out about a month into in, I've played almost everyday and still not tier 70.
1 -
No.
0 -
i bought the premium rift and got to 70
i dont use any of the rewards except for the vial at 70, the grind isnt worth it when you add in all the issus with this game currently
that is, unless you feel a charm that you have to grind like crazy for after spending $10 is worth
0 -
Definitely not, the grind requires like 3 hours a day every single day
0 -
Nah

Well, bought i the pass because i was going to complete the rift.
I think it is bugged on xbox because i didn't get my 1000 Auric Cells back, after completing the rift. I got only 975 back and i haven't any idea why. Bought 1100 Auric Cells yesterday, bought the pass, completed the rift and now i've only 1075 AC...

Its optional. And themes on trapper and clauette kinda.
Theres some hag and nea stuff. Theres a nice mix.
Yes its worth it if you're more than casual fan.
People cried about wanting more to do and more of a reason to play.
We have it. Stop crying

It's not worth, the devs get a pass I'd say because it's their first one, but if the others are anything like this one was, just save your money and buy something else
