Someone is not good at DBD?
Am I the only one who thinks a person whose pretty popular sucks in the game? I recently watched a whole livestream, then watched another one, also some gameplay videos and I saw no looping, cant't hit skillchecks on ruin and runs in one straight line. Little skill whatsoever... this isn't just to hate, I just do not understand why he plays this way when he has soooo many hours in the game. Can't say the name sadly.

Also how would you know he has "so many hours in this game" by watching 2 of his livestreams and a couple of videos on YouTube?

I did not say anything about his personality or what a person he is, I simply commented on what I saw by watching gameplay, I have not said he is the worst player either, and by having this many hours- and by this I mean he has Devotion 11- he hasn't been in the game for a day. Also, I never said this is the first time I am watching him, I simply watched it and commented more critically. This is not bullying btw

Going out your way to brandish him as a rank 19 skill level (no skill) player is disrespectful and I don't know why you think anyone else cares what your bad opinion of him is.

He's a great guy, no doubt, but that doesn't mean his playing is above criticism. You can like someone as a person and still acknowledge it if they're not very good at the game. It's not "bullying" to say that it's surprising for such an experienced player not to be better at the game than they are.
I haven't watched any of his gameplay, so this isn't me expressing a personal opinion on his skills, just saying that the fact that someone is nice and respectful doesn't put them above reproach in other areas. And I'm sure that, as reasonable and levelheaded a person as the streamer in question seems to be, he would be the first one to tell you that.

Its the nature of video games.
Not everyone is good at every game no matter how long they play. They also may seem bad at one play style but are better at others. I've saw peoole play who can evade killers really well and never be caught, some who are loop gods and others who manage to lose even the best of killers.
Being good is subjective as looping is not the only way to play this game. Some prefer a more stealthy approach and its really only the elitists who argue there is just one style that is the best.
As long as someone is enjoying the game it doesn't matter how they play. A lot of content creaters generally get views on their personality and interations with the community more than how well they can play a game.

I watch streamers who are and aren’t good at video games.
you come for the personality, the looks, the community, whatever
it doesn’t always have to be about skill level, especially since there are so many different ways to be good in this game

Who cares? I worry about how I play. Also I watch certain streamers mainly due to their personality. Ohmwrecker for example, not a dbd champ by any means, but always makes me laugh without trying.

Also, there are different playstyles, even if parts of the community try to ignore it.
I am a red rank surivor, and i cant loop proper or chase either (altough i become a lot better at juking the killer).
Yes, i am one that hides and depends on not being found. Yet, its not unusully in my games to max out objectives and/or altruism (since a lot of people insist that stealth player are doing nothing during the game, which is just stupid).
Just beliving that chasing is the core of the game doesnt make it so, no matter how many people belive it.

So what if they suck at the game? The purpose of playing a game is to have fun. As long as he and his viewers are having fun, why should he stop?

People watch for different reasons. And also, as a streamer myself, I can tell you straight up that paying attention to chat and trying to put on a show can really affect gameplay. I would almost guarantee that anyone who is remotely interactive with their chat and plays at red ranks is twice as good off stream.

I have been playing a year and a half (Devotion 3, PS4 doesn't tell me my hours, but I'd guess 500ish?) and I still play quite poorly. I try to learn by reading, watching others, and practicing, but I suspect even at Devotion 11, I'll still play poorly. I'm inattentive to my surroundings, don't know my way around maps, overly altruistic, and impatient (can't sit for long, waiting).
As long as my teammates don't mind and I don't treat them or the Killer in a negative way, I'm okay with being bad at the game. Some of us just are. Also, Edgar's point is right on: playing while reading & interacting with chat divides your attention and makes you more prone to error. But as long as everyone is happy watching & playing, it seems okay. Have a good day, bud! ❤️

Unless they are doing training videos, or otherwise acting like an expert, who cares? There are lots of people streaming that aren't great at the games they play, but they are enjoyable to watch. Twitch isn't just for gaming experts, it's for entertainment.
