Problem with stopping gen regression by survivor

Ok, ok, we will check all changes on PTB etc. But in theory - killer needs some time to start regression (damage genarator) and survivor can instantly stop it by tap. I think, it would be honest at least add some time for repair action just to stop regression. Especially this problem will be very ANNOYING for killers who will use nerfed Ruin.

    this post is really irelevant no one is gonna use ruin now its pointless :) perk was badly designed from day 1 survivors hated went against it killers hated even equiped it yet it is annoying for new survivor players so lets nerf it .. so trust me no one ever will use it :)

    You missed main thought - add time for stop regression. About new Ruin - it was added as an optional argument.

    People seem to be forgetting ruin is a TOTEM and if the lower ranks don’t wanna play through it, they can look for it and cleanse it assuming it isn’t found within the first minute.

    But apparently giving players a challenge in skill checks AND offering them a counter to it is too much

    You are not reading the perk correctly.

    While ruin is active It's an auto regression 2x the normal one at tier 3 If a gen has been started not being worked on. If you chase a survivor off a gen you don't need to kick it to start regressing it and tapping won't help with that.

    I think this discussion may be closed. Noone reads about adding honest time for repair action to stop regression (no matter the cause of it - perk, bug or killer leg!). Everyone is just triggered by Ruin - it is not the topic of this discussion!

    Oops sorry every post is about Ruin I read it wrong and assumed this was too.

    They did discuss when they don't want to do this. It makes certain perks along with 3 gens being patrolled from the start close by overly strong.

    @zzee19 Regarding your response above: You yourself started with "test in the PTB" which pretty much dragged everyone towards the ruin change ;P

    But that's actually a great idea. One of the things in this game that makes it more slapstick rather than horrific is the gen tapping during chase to stop the regression. Then the killer kicks it again cause 80+%, one more loop, tapping again. Actually that is why they increased "Any means necessary" to take 4 seconds, so you cannot raise it during a chase. Same should be done to stop regression.

    2 seconds would be enoguh already, should give you a free hit on every loop if you try. And longer would actually be too hard. For example 10 seconds equals 12,5 percent of gen progress. That's stronger than Surge and half of Pop. But 2 seconds would actually give some more value to kickin gens in many situations

    Thanks, that my mistake to start from PTB topic, I just want to mention I have read all info about it and have an idea related to nerfs that would be in this PTB.
