PGTW and overcharge will be useless w/ruin
overall bad synergy with these 2 perks. Ya can't kick gens when they regress...... okay it's a totem and could break................ I don't see survivors breaking this totem (survivors who have been around for a bit to realize that this isn't anything to worry about). Doesn't take like 5mins to regress fully? so that means if a gen is at 99% it'll take 2 1/2 mins to regress (if I have the time right). there are some crazy combos (forever freddy... dying w/ thana, PGTW) but not unbeatable.....now I have to say on paper this new ruin is not hex worthy, maybe tomorrow ruin will surprise me but atm I am thinking we're going to see the gens done in record times and it's going to be the silliest thing.
Now this doesn't go without me saying that I am happy to see a perk like this come to the game, this is something that I have wanted to see come to the game and I am confident that when tweaked this idea will work perfectly.
I am also happy that ruin is getting changes... It was to the point that ruin seemed to be basekit for killers and it gets old seeing the same fooking thing over and over again. I do hope something else will be coming to the game as in objectives to slow the gen times down.
future gen times and the synergy with the kicking perks are what I am worried about.
edit: Thrilling tremors has decent synergy with this upcoming version of ruin so that'll be fun too experiment with.

I'm gonna try using Ruin and Surveillance together with PGTW as a fallback for when Ruin inevitably goes.

I will probably avoid cleansing ruin so that killers can’t use PGTW.

The simple solution to this would make passive regression separate from damaged regression, so a left gen passively regresses but when damaged it regresses faster.

No, surge won't work if the gen is already regressing from survivor's leaving the gen. So basically only two that'll go well with it is surveillance and thrilling tremors.

If a survivor is working on it, It'll explode the generator and drop its progress 8%, but otherwise it won't do that for any gen that's already regressing.

Pop relies on hooking a survivor to use it. It will be useless regardless in the new slug meta the devs are after. I thought it was weird they brought out Oni and punished you for not slugging. Now this change to ruin it is really looking like they are pushing for it so whatever.

ok but Over Charge isn’t even good and the gens still regress at ungodly speed anyway. Kinda having a built in Pop. Use Surveillance

If they dont cleanse Ruin we can try Devour Hope to punish them. Or something like Third Seal or Huntress Lullaby to firce them to cleanse.

It is a trade off to cleanse Ruin or not. Ignore it and if the Killer is good, he might get a lot of value out of Ruin, because people constantly need to leave their Gens.
If cleansing, it will provide the use of PGTW (which is already better than Ruin anyway). Personally, I would rather cleanse Ruin.
