Survivors!! Are you really welcome the NEW form of Ruin?

I play around 60-70% of time as survivors (including the queuing time in the lobby) and the rest as killer

Being a killer, I can't accept such nerf! I can't accept such nerf! I can't accept such nerf!

Being a survivor, the game would be too easy and it would not be excited even though I can predict all 5 gens can be done real quick. BUT NOT FUN.

They might welcome it because it makes their job easier. What they wont like is the killer riot of camping slugging moris and noed as well as 15 minute long que times. Here comes ww3.

What this game needs is a counter snowball measure. For both sides. So at the start of the game when survivors are strongest they should have a penalty such as a 25% reduced generator repair rate while all 4 survivors are alive and no one is hooked or in the dying state. As soon as the first survivor dies instead of a penalty the survivors gain a 15% bonus to generator repair speed for each dead survivor. Games would be much more interesting this way. It would be far less frustrating for both sides and old ruin wouldn't be needed.

That would just change the meta into bring in one of you 1k brown took boxes with prove thyself and a clean rag ... same gen speeds..

Also making gens slower isn't the answer.. they need to shrink map sizes to all be around springwood size (140m) and get rid of the god windows and start adjust loops so that killers cant put more pressure on the gens.

Actually yes, but don't think it was fair to not adress Toolboxes/Prove Thyself together with this perk. It's not different from how Survivors felt when instaheals got gutted but Mori's remain the same (i know most people compare those with Keys but still).

Most killers will feel the need to camp, tunnel, slug or bring Mori's now to stand a chance. Yes it's possible 4k'ing without these strategies but everyone knows it's just more stressful. I want to add, i almost never camp and tunnel. I just understand why Killers do it sometimes, unless very early in the match only to be a #########.

It means more noed, more slugg builds, more Billy and spirits etc

So no. It's going to be less frustating now since it always feels like my team mates are useless when the killer has ruin and this will change it. However, solo survivors role will be still frustating for different reasons now.

Not really. I remember I felt frustrated by ruin, but I adapted and started going totem hunting with small game for a while, that was good enough for me until I learned how to power through ruin.

I play both sides, and yeah the new change is just absolute BS. I can't always hit Ruin skill checks, sometimes needing to power thru them/tapping gens, but I would never say it felt "unfair".

Gen speeds alone aren't the problem, though it is also a source of issues. There needs to be more variety in doing the objective. Sitting at a generator holding m1 for about a minute or so, occasionally pressing space, is not fun/engaging gameplay. There needs to be more.

I missed all the posts on here where survivors complained about ruin.Tunneling, camping, and slugging have been at the top of the list of survivor complaints with the current ruin, so considering all the killer mains threatening this nothing is bound to change. FYI I am fine with current ruin though the current meta of ruin and pop is frustrating.

They will welcome it until they keep getting 10k point games because they are over so quickly or because they spent the entire time slugged on the ground.

I play survivor 80 percent of the time. Slugging matches are rare. They won't be. And survivors definition of tunneling is if you are hooked everyone else needs to be hooked before you can be again so yes they complain a lot.

Slugging is not just slugging the whole team, quite often killers slug the second to last to deny the last person hatch if they don't know where it is. I see this in a lot of streams I watch and it happens enough in my games. I don't slug as killer because I know how dull it is. But to each his own. In tunneling there are a lot of survivors who use it incorrectly but there are quite a few killer mains that subscribe to the remove one player from the match early strat. It's a good strat but it really punishes the other player. I see why people complain but it doesn't do any good.

My mistake. You are correct. I was not thinking of that and thinking more so of the stuff like hexy is doing now. Slugging from the start to allow the game down.

I liked it the way it was before, but I like hex totems in general (even though they get gone fast). I like to run Devour hope and Huntress Lullaby. I'm bi-hexual.
