The devs are beyond ridiculous
What is crossing their minds when they do changes like these? "ruin was updated (ehem, nerfed) because new players had trouble with it" #########? Rank 20 killers using ruin? I dont believe it unless they're playing hag.
The supposed "buff" to the doctor that put a smile on most people ended up being a nerf. (nostalgia for when the "slight" changes to the nurse were supposed to be like that, slight).
Sound bugs that, lets be honest here, will NEVER be addressed.
And the worst part is the rank hiding after a match, hilarious. A member of the development team must be a clown on their free time.

Wait, they hide ranks after the match now? If that's true, they probably want to hide the fact that there is not enough red rank killers in the game
Also, they want to pair red rank survivors with rank 20 killer with no backlash from players about matchmaking

Yeah the fact they want to hide ranks in lobby is a huge red flag for me, honestly right up until I saw that I never suspected them of anything malicious, just maybe that they were still learning as they worked on the game- but that is an active, 100% malicious move.
They want to try and sweep a problem under the rug, hoping people won't complain. They will offer nonsense excuses if people pressure them about it, prolly say it is to prevent toxicity or some other lie- when I have NEVER been made fun of or harassed for my rank, if anything it's turned toxic survivors nice once they realized there was a rank gap. What they going to dodge a lobby AFTER the game has ended? There is no reason for this except for one of censorship and arrogance.

I agree. This is something important we need to bring more attention to and really start talking about more. This isn't incompetent, it's downright lying to the community. It's disgusting.

My suspicion is they are about to open up matchmaking because they are realizing there is not enough high rank killers to satisify the survivor base. There is about to be a lot of new killers abused by high rank survivors.

Matchmaking is "opened up" already, everyone is getting matched with everyone no matter the rank.
The worst part is, they will probably ignore every complaint about this or theyll speak up saying it is a bug or something, when its most likely because there arent enough players to fulfill queues according to rank.

Hi guys,
So I have mained survivor for a majority of my time spent on dbd. Recently I have been playing killer which despite the longer queue times at rank 18 is still enjoyable for the most part. The games I have not enjoyed have happened when I was ranked against swf around ranks 3-9. As a rank 4 survivor I believe I have a solid understanding of what to do but by no means is that perfect. This also doesn’t translate over to my performance as killer. I really feel like being able to see the ranks at the end of game helps me understand how the survivors played and allows me to reflect on what I could do in the future.
This is just my experience yesterday and today and my thought on it.

I agree with you, if anything, being able to see ranks makes players more likely to be reasonable and forgiving towards one another. For example, as a survivor, if one of your teammates turns out to be a rank 20, you might be a bit more forgiving of the fact that they sucked. Or as killer, you might feel less bad about a disgraceful defeat at green ranks if it turns out that the survivors were all in red ranks.

I think everyone will be more forgiving when not seeing ranks assuming that if someone plays bad you will think he is low rank. It takes out the flaming part if someone plays bad and is in red ranks.
But at this point just remove ranks alltogether and make it a hidden mmr and/or rename ranked game to quickplay.
