The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

Doctor 3 second attack delay

So, in the leaked patch notes it specifies that the delay between shocking and attacking will be 3 seconds. The stun time of the shock is 2.5 seconds which currently means that doctor can temporarily halt a pallet/vault loop and get a hit in. This is pretty much the only reason to seriously consider playing Doctor in red ranks. With the new 3 second delay this removes this one reason to actually consider playing doctor. Not to mention that the "snap out of it" returns survivors to tier 1 instead of tier 2. Also in the dev stream before christmas they told that static blast would increase madness by one tier and in these new dev notes it was changed to "an amount". I wonder what low tier killer gets nerfed next.

Please tell me this isn't real. Its hard enough to get the timing right on a shock to stop a survivor from vaulting anything or dropping a pallet... It takes skill to get it right as it is, and now you're saying that the Doctor won't even be able to attack them during the time that they can't interact with vaults and pallets? *deep breath* sigh... ######### kinda drugs are these devs on?

You have to take into account the travel time of Shock Therapy. It take 1 second to hit survivors after is been fired.

So you put yourself on cooldown for 3 seconds and then 1 second later the survivor is blocked from interaction for 2.5 seconds, leaving you 0.5 seconds to hit them before they can drop a pallet. Except they will drop the pallet anyway because of the dedicated servers.

And Snap Out of it now put survivors back to Madness 1 for no reason.

They wanted to make Doctor less annoying for rank 20s, they never had any intention of actually making him playable.
