Killers are being punished because a lot of survivors don't want to use small game they want ez pz matches where killer is basically as effective as battlefield AI

The majority of survivors don't care about ruin, that is the truth. They find it easy to get rid of the only survivors that have been asking for a ruin nerf are rank 15-20s. Honestly ruin is like playing killer with 3 perks in some cases anyways. Don't blame the survivors for this.

I know that I don't use it but I never had a problem with it as survivor because I always run small game just in case a killer is running devour/noed. It's miserable without ruin in red rank 5 though even in purple and green you get a swf coordinated and it's miserable

The only reason I hate ruin is because my team mates blow it constantly then dc.

Aside from the other changes, what i hope that this Hex: Ruin change will bring is help keep new players actually playing.

It shouldn't be at the expense of the players that kept this game going, they brought it full price, the paid for the overpriced outfits because they gave a damn about the game. There wasn't anything substantial to give back to killers in this patch.
I guarantee if you aren't a full on sweat you will get destroyed at red ranks against swf if you just make one tiny mistake and happen to be playing as killers like leather, trapper, hag.

And new killers who get hit by ds and bt? What about them or the loops on maps survivors can easily abuse the killer with? Then theres flashlights swf and keys. Like it or not killers dont want to rank up because of how much the survivors have in the higher ranks. If were nerfing perks that bully new players i expect a ds and bt fix then as well as maps.

new killers have matches with new survivors of same skill level. well usually..

Depends i have a friend whos just starting out in killer and hes been hit by ds bt and flashlight saves and pallet loops. Guess survivors derank to? Also with the 6 rank difference as long as your rank 15 you can get down to rank 9s and you cant derank in dbd until 15 so some killers there are still fairly new. Also the matchmaker itself.

And it is of course because Ruin is so useless that statistics show that it is used massively by killers, even at high level.
In the same way, the killers complain that the Ruin is destroyed too quickly precisely because the survivors do not care about this.
There are actually lots of good reasons for a change of Ruin, and developers already enunciate many.
Personally, the change is justified. I never appreciated this mechanism which annoyed me deeply. Becoming a master of skillchecks is not what I'm looking for in this game. Difficult skillchecks should stay that way, so they should be rare.
It is one thing that we do not like this change, but the status quo is no longer possible.

Even when i was rank 15 i didnt care. I saw it as punishing me cause i {error word not found} up. I actually enjoy going against a killer with ruin even now at rank 14. Just started playing survivor every other game like 3 weeks ago.

I hope for those new players that they'll have better times in the future as well.
I was just saying i'm hoping for the game that this will keep those players in the game.

Punished? Seems like you are relying too much on carrying perks like ruin, pop and thana. If you can't manage to get a "4K" without them, you don't belong in that rank. And the reason ur complaining says enough.. the survivors you play against are on another "skill" level then you. It's not meant as an insult, it's just facts.
