Lets Debate About Clown Vs. Huntress

Huntress is toptier, Clown is the best midtier.
Huntress is more risk/reward and has the best skillscaling of all killers. Clowns projectile is harder to throw, but he's also less dependant on his throws. He can still fall back to his normal speed, where huntress has to hit her hatchets.
They're still very different in the end, as clown is a basic killer with a ranged slow and huntress is a unique killer with ranged damage. Different tiers even though they're similiar.1 -
Clown is bae. You can use his belly as a pillow. Nuff said.7

With less of a need for accuracy I think Clown is better/easier to handle on consoles. I stopped trying to play as the Huntress on PS4. I have a ton of fun with the Clown, though. People don't play him a lot so most survivors still haven't adapted strategies against him.1

Huntress takes more skill with the accuracy of those hatchets.0

I think Clown is superior to Huntress, Huntress is really bad around loops

As a survivor, I would much rather face a low-to-mid skilled huntress. But at high skill, I'd rather face the clown.
As a killer, I'd rather play clown because the AoE means I can be effective without being pro, and I play mostly Myers Hag and Trapper so I suck at no-scope aiming.1 -
The two are very different beasts but I would much rather face a good clown than a good huntress because of their individual weaknesses.
For Clown we have to look at his big issues and that is simply his snowball. A Clown player must be very constant in all of his chases or else he can not generate enough pressure to pull survivors away from the generators. The Clown is a victim to the generator speeds more than the majority of the cast and this is a very bad trait to have. On the upside I would argue that his chase is one of the best in the game and that he can remedy a lot of his issues with perks. He also has the advantage of not being overly reliant on his power. The biggest advantage in my eyes is that the Clown is map based but not map dependent. Every map as clown is practically the same with some minor exceptions like Pale rose or Haddonfield. He just has to play differently on maps like Lerys or the game which can be amazing for him if played correctly.
On the huntress side of things her biggest issue is the maps. A lot of LOS blockers are being added to discourage looping as well as a lot of maps having long window loops like cowshed which absolutely ruin huntress. Huntress is map based and a fairly large number of maps will put her at a disadvantage. At the same time Huntress has the ability to actually damage survivors with her power instead of her power setting up a hit like clowns. This allows Huntress to go out and end chases quicker at the cost of some speed. Her power is better but at the cost of a lot of tracking potential and movement speed.
With all of this said I would much rather face a clown because you can beat him by simply disrupting his chases. With huntress you need to completely gen-rush her or get a bad huntress map. Disrupting a clowns momentum will kill his game and that is much easier to do than deal with a snowballing huntress.

I prefer Clown too. With range-experience you can place impacts directly at gens from a good distance without Line of Sight. The heigth of the bottles can be used like some artillery-shots and you can throw over obstacles the huntress-hatches would stop on. Bad for clowns placed artillery throws are trees where the bottle can hit and break high over the map.
I think the bottles are not designed for a chase throw in the back of the surv, because the possible range doesnt fit with the time u need to reach the area you hit, until the effect (of 2 secs) is already passed. but its good to block windows, pallets and stuff. Most survs still run through the aoe because they still want that pallet. for that i think the effect of the aoe is to weak at all. if survs dont care to run through, something is wrong :chuffed:

As someone that plays Huntress now at high ranks I feel that she just needs to be as fast as a normal killer. Having a projectile means nothing if you can't ever get LoS on someone just hugging a wall. Yes slow her down a lot when she charges a hatchet but PLEASE boost her base movement speed to normal killer. That or buff her base wind up speed by 8% to offset the amount taken away from Babushka/Braid nerf. I used to use just Babushka before the patch with different add-ons and no Tinkerer because it was OP. I did fine. Now I have to use BOTH for the same effect as just a Babushka before, meaning I can't put on other good add-ons, like Begrimed Heads or Yew Seed, for other effects. It's too easy to avoid her and loop her. Not to mention the hatchet throw is completely janky and needs some QoL fixes.

Nah, Huntress is better.
Huntress is quite scary when played properly.
Besides, you can actually snipe people if you're good enough.

if survs dont care to run through, something is wrong :chuffed:It's not they don't care, it's either run through gas and drop a pallet, or get hit. As survivor, you might know you can avoid a hit but sometimes you take a hit for reasons. Getting the killer to chase you more is one, because they will go after the injured guy (trust me I'm rank 1 NM guy). Maybe you do it with Calm Spirit and Iron Will for the speed burst to get away (kinda like free mini-SB if you are in the right spot). Or, maybe, you wanted to save the pallet. That's why it's not always a bad thing to chase at the shack. If it's bad survivor they will waste the god pallet. If it's a good survivor they will just take the hit and go somewhere else, or better keep going and maybe waste a god pallet OR take another hit (or get away, that's always possible).
Good survivors do care about the bottle effects but they calculate the options and just came to the conclusion this was the one that leads to them escaping. Kinda like how...
SPOILER ALERT
Dr. Strange sees into the future and out of the 14 million outcomes they only win 1, but then he gives up the time stone like ######### bro, but he has to or that future won't happen kinda stuff.

clown needs 3 bottles to make a shack raelly ugly for survs. every entrance to middle 1 bottle and wait which exit they will choose. xD

Personally I think Clown is overall better than Huntress. Machine gun Huntress was probably her best build and while a Huntress who can still nail her hatchets is scary, I don't think it's top tier scary. She's still easily looped which is her biggest issue and she doesn't threaten a pallet drop quite like Billy does. Now a good Clown shuts down a lot of loops and can get hits any killer but the Nurse wouldn't usually get.
She used to be imo bottom on the top tier right alongside Myers but now not so much. Top of the mid tier.0 -
Actually clown only needs one bottle for the shack. Just take control of it and toss a bottle at the ceiling right next to the hole. The higher the bottle breaks the larger the spread so you can cover the entire shack with one toss.S0ckenSchuss said:clown needs 3 bottles to make a shack raelly ugly for survs. every entrance to middle 1 bottle and wait which exit they will choose. xD
