Soo now that killers will bring a more toxic gameplay will survivors adapt to it?
I see a lot of posts from killers claiming they'll start a slugging meta and will only bring op and mories into games
Survivors usually complain in those discussions but when killers complain about gen speed all survivors say is "just adapt"
Soo when this slug meta and mori meta begins will survivors adapt to it?

Nope. Survivors will complain and make moris work after 2 hooks and give everyone no mither effect without any debuffs

Welp unbreakebal and no mither may be more used...

So gen speeds staying the same = playing toxic and nasty as possible to ruin the other person's fun?

Killers are just gonna get mori's nerfed much faster that way, totally fine with that.
Unbreakable, DS as well as Toolboxes to counter mori's will be more common too.
I'll most likely just take a break or go back to green ranks as Survivor too.

Sure they were, but the few people not running the meta perks will have no reason not to run them anymore because they will just get punished for it.
Unlucky that u already see a lot of toolboxes. I don't get to see them too often on both sides.

Ds...more common... lol.

Nope. Nostradamus says folks may try getting some use out of odd bits like Flip Flop or Buckle Up at first, realize they're no help, definitely implement Unbreakable or No Mither as part of the new meta, because it directly (conveniently) combats it. Then folks will complain that they shouldn't have to run a particular perk to combat a widespread playstyle. They'll argue it's not a contradiction to having Ruin (the 80%+ used perk to slow the game down "just a li'l bit") destroyed, and there will be pages upon pages of arguments trying to prove they're not hypocrites on the matter. Ultimately, though, a crap storm wave of complaints will then lead to nerfs on slugging (faster recovery rate, faster heal rate for folks on the ground, slowing bleed-out timer, faster ground movement, etc.) and nerfs on moris (this one would be a little more delicate, as requiring 2 hooks to be mori'able seems as though it would completely induce a civil war beyond even the Ruin backlash, and there's not many more ways they could nerf a mori).
Killers in general will either adapt until the next adaptation is necessary or they finally get tired of adapting and leave. Survivors in general will try to adapt until it becomes annoyingly difficult and the devs will change their diapers. As it was, as it always will be. Harsh metaphor, but it's true.

Survivors already adapted. You do anything they don't like... They DC and rob you of your points.

If slugging becomes meta then so will anti slug perks like Unbreakable and Tenacity.
Unbreakable completely stops the momentum if used immediately and Tenacity allows everyone to change positions quickly while recovering at the same time making slugging unviable as you can't get them back down quickly enough to stop them from repairing gens.
Long story short: If killers "adapt" survivors will "adapt", too. That's the circle of life/DBD

Most on both sides always adapt and new meta's form.
The usual generally happens.
A change Is announced and all hell breaks loose on the forums which continues for a few weeks or more with some on one side saying it's unfair and some on the other side goading them.
Most players start to adapt quickly when they go live and find news ways to play and the complaints slowly start to die down. The forums have for the most part already moved onto the next things to complain about which they consider OP or unfun to verse.
Another change is announced. Rinse and repeat the endless cycle.

I not see a difference as most of these killers tunneled before Ruin was changed anyway and the rest are good at the game.
3 -
I think there are going to be a lot more moris used now, especially in anticipation of DS/Unbreakable to counter the inevitable rise in slugging. These are some dark times ahead for all of us, not just survivor. RIP normal games.

Some are doing some are not. There will always be toxic players on both sides due to sad people with sad little lives.
People wanting more things nerfed in hopes of driving off what little killers we have left i..... Jeezus guys... Smh

If a killer was toxic prior to ruin change, they're still going to be toxic after.
I'm still going to play how I normally play after ruin change. Why? Let's be honest, old ruin stayed on the map for two minutes max. By the time you got into a chase with one survivor ruin was basically taken out. So, what really is the difference? At least this will start gen regression soon as they get off a gen. It'd just be nice if it wasn't a totem perk, but in the end it really doesn't change much.

I slug with nurse in red ranks, using Infectious Fright + Knoch Out + Nurse's calling + thanatophobia
Put pressure on gens, and that's what i do..... 90% of the time people DC xD
3 -
Unbreakable and DS literally don't counter Moris. I mean I down you, and then fatality on the ground. There's no slugging for unbreakable to kick in, nor is the survivor picked up to DS the killer.

Eh using the m42a dart in bf4 was toxic until it was fixed.
No recoil, no drop, increasing bullet speed, 100% accurate on hip fire,etc...
It was glitched and akin to cheating.
As an example of in game can be toxic if broken

tbh I think perks should get upgrades after certain ranks

Yes. Very much so. I'm telling you right now if every die hard in this game doesnt uninstall after this nerf, you'll be seeing some serious dick move gameplay. Slugging, camping, tunneling, and NOED. But I'm the dick for playing that way so let's just keep DS, DH, Adrenaline, SWF, massive maps, and regular genspeed. That seems fair right? So I can get bullied in a game that ends in 6 minutes because ruin is gone on a map that takes me 3/4 of a generator to get to the other side of the map. Totally fair and unbiased. Not survivor sided at all.
1 -
Adrenaline. A perk that only activates once and heals you one state if all the gens are complete or you close the hatch. So OP. NOT.
Get some therapy. You sound like you have a lot of issues if you're so vindictive and want to ruin games for random strangers.

Yeah... By running away and trying to escape. Not giving the killer a 4k=super toxic. Or using any items=super toxic

Forgot. Looping=super toxic
Unhooking=super toxic
Given you can't provide any examples I'm happy to see I'm right

The logic you use should be applied to tunneling, face camping, moris and slugging.
Why shouldn’t a killer tunnel? Killing that person faster will make the rest of the match easier for the killer. It’s not as if ranking matters.
Camping is also a good strategy for overly altruistic survivors. Rather than traversing the map, let them come to you!
Moris are basically items that the devs have provided for killers to use. Just like how survivors bring in a toolbox, key or flashlight, there is no reason to be upset with a killer who brings a mori. They’re just playing the game with a feature that Devs have provided. No complaint right?
Slugging isn’t a problem because it is another feature that the devs have provided. It helps killers slow down the game to have a little more fun. They’re not holding the game hostage since you can bleed out, or have one of your teammates heal you!
So, in reality, killers have every right to use all of the above, until the developers decide to change the game again. The question is, how many times will killers put up with the changes?

Yet we have killers that will lobby dodge based on seeing flashlights, toolboxes, keys, and even certain characters. So again, applying that logic, why do killers lobby dodge when they face items and survivors that they don't like when they're part of the game?

Yeah but my point was people abuse stuff and that is toxic.
Everything working fine isn't.
0 -
People will adapt to change.
0 -
Same reason why so many survivors do the same and game dodge when they see certain items or characters. Survivors aren't obligated to play with you.
0 -
What? Killers haven't lobby dodged as a general rule since flashlights were changed, BNP's and instaheals were nerfed. Survivors DC all the time to this day for stupid reasons. I had 2 different groups of survivors DC against me as the plague... Because I was using Thana...
The Slug meta is inevitable again. It's not a bad thing, many of us weren't even playing before the hag came out so many don't know that back in the days when infinites were everywhere and the shack had two windows, that's basically how you HAD to play killer. Honestly I've always said since the beginning this fan service to survivors killers insist on upholding is killing their gains.
Camp, Tunnel, Slug, these are terms made up by beta tryhards who get upset you won't let them win. I. Their mind they deserve a chance to have a fair and fun balanced game, at the expense of the player on the other side... This game is not balanced and it never will be. It can gravitate as close as it wants to the center of the balance, but by it's very nature it will never quite achieve it.

No because "It's not fun"
0 -
You want to ruin the game for killers no? But it's okay when the game is on your side right? Just as long as it's fun for just survivors that's okay! Right?
0 -
Put it simple - it was never the issue for killers not be able to play without ruin. Ruin allowed killers play more fair towards survivors.
