Should I derank my survivor?
I've been playing with new friend lately, and something weird has been happening. Since I'm rank 2, the game has been trying to match us up with red rank killers, but it has maybe done that once. Instead, we sit in queue for ~5 minutes and get matched with someone between rank 5 and 10. I've also solo queued a few times, and I still get matched with killers between ranks 5-10 all the time. It just seems like I am literally being punished for my rank since if I was rank 8 or something, I'd get the same killers with shorter queues.
I don't really want to throw games either, I'd probably run my old No Mither builds. I'm just not sure if it's worth going through all the trouble.

It's worth doing it for the more enjoyable games in lower ranks and better queue times.
The only problem is, you will probably rank up very fast again anyway.

Yeah, that's my main worry. I'm afraid that I'd only get a few good queues before I'm back at red ranks again because that would just be a waste of time

Not sure how you plan to derank... but playing meme builds or going for some achievements is a nice way to derank without dcing or being a complete potato and ruining the match for the rest.

You would get those killers even without your friend being there. Because matchmaking is bonkers and there is a surplus of survivors in red rank and a shortage of killers in general right now, it will match you with whoever it can, including green and yellow rank killers.

I've thought about it strictly in hopes of lobby times improving but I don't feel it will be worth the effort. It's sort of sad that it takes more commitment to derank as survivor than it does to rank up but oh well.
