Nurse stats. It's been a while...

Hello,

I realised that i've not played as, or against a nurse in a long time.

Very curious as to what the pick/effectiveness rate is with her nowadays.

The last time I played against her as survivor, I ran back and forth across the map and was part of a 4E.

I've played her a couple of times as Killer and...errr... lets say I'll re-roll her killer daily in future!

Thanks, but that's from a fair few weeks back now. We've had a lot longer now to get accustomed to her, and, as a rank 5 survivor, I could count on one hand the number of times I've seen her this year.

I don't think it moved far in my opinion, but I can tag a developer for you: @Almo

Thanks, I'm kinda 50/50 Survivor/Killer, but never play Nurse and, with all the current changes going on, am just curious to see where it's all ended up...

After a bit of testing with her, I can say she doesn't feel too different. Just a bit more punishing when the survivors predict you correctly. Kinda fun, if you ask me.

Devs killed her. She's still strong, theoretically the strongest, but the amount of pressure needed to actually play her at that level? No. I've only faced her three times in December, when I played mostly survivor for the battle pass. Just from that, I know much of the community dropped her, at least from my experience.

Never was a Nurse player. Too boring for me.

That being said I can say those stats, even if a few weeks old, probably are still somewhat accurate. She's definitely weaker just because of that delay, but I don't think for a Nurse player that's used to blinks it would be a problem.

The one thing I did witness though that I have to take the Nurse's side on here... There are some disruptive bugs on her now, so I feel a little bad she was left like that.

Wait, you versed nurses in 2020?? I haven't seen any and I by myself haven't touched her once. Dead killer imo.

Honestly, if half the ######### maps didn't have some sort of stupid dead zone that's been in since they existed, she'd be more bearable to play. The new map for Oni? Yeah, those statues? You cannot blink through or near them lest you get stuck. That whole area is literally anti-nurse.

Can relate, I was a nurse main aswell. Now I play Billy, get bored.. Switch to solo Q survivor, get pissed (by teammates). For me dbd is becoming an empty shell more and more.

It's unfun for me because it takes out almost all mindgames. I'm not saying other killers are more complex or anything, but for me having the ability to teleport right on top of a survivor and hit them doesn't feel as engaging as mindgaming them into taking a hit. I disagree it's hard. Punishing, maybe more so now that she has a delay. But just for me and my personal preference, too easy.

I would think the opposite. Maybe the *play rate* dropped for her if people did realize she was stressful or whatever, but the remaining Nurse players I would think would bring up the stats a little, as they get used to the way she is since her changes. The biggest changes she got are her addons, which don't have to be brought if you aren't used to them, and the delay she has. Any Nurse that can hit a blink probably still can. I won't even say probably. I've gone against a couple since the update. She felt almost the same, just couldn't infinitely chase me with no punishment. I'm not a golden standard though. I don't have all the data from everybody's games, and I'm not a perfect players, so maybe I'm just wrong on that.

I mained dark souls (with pvp) for 1 or 2k hours, nurse is so far away to be compared with dark souls lol

Well, at least with dark souls 1.

I'll clear it up. Devs killed her 'fun' factor. Her addons needed the change, I back 100%. But the cooldown placed on her upped her difficulty even more, especially for those looking to start her. One mistake and you lose all momentum unless you're skilled with her. The skill level required before was high, now it went up another level. Her base kit already has a lot of restrictions, adding another? It's pushed a lot of players away from her, and there aren't many new players willing to pick her up beyond a few games. It's why I attribute so few players actually using her, and of those, using her effectively.

When used effectively, she's strong. The ability to bypass most Survivor defenses will always be fantastic. Yet again, the level required to actually make use of her kit (excluding potatoes, of course) is incredibly high. You can get more bang for your buck from other killers with far less work.

I played 3 consecutive games with her today. With Nurse, Spirit, and Ruin nerfs I'm afraid the next killer nerf will be Billy. Why not nerf him, he's fun to play and effective. Definitely need to get rid of that.

Honestly I play survivor much more than killer and a 2 blink nurse wasn't that bad to go against unless she was a god tier nurse. All they should have done is given her a longer fatigue because it gives the survivor a chance to escape or break los

Maybe you shouldnt play against potatoes? Nurse is like reverse spirit atm due to LoS breakers, you have to predict correct or that survivor will be gone from you. Playin vs potatoes any killer will 4k and doesnt need any mindgames.

Idk but seems like you are new or something, nurse before the rework was permanent mindgames on the whole map, something that no other killer could offer at all.

No, I'm not new. I just found it stupid easy to play her. Sorry if that means I play against potato survivors, I'll try to remember to tell them next time to stop being so bad.

I play a lot of nurse on console and yes she sucks lol but I love her ability so I stay around and hope one day I master it

I think what hes saying is that the gap between "Cant use nurse she sucks now" and " Nurse xan still be good" are leaps and bounds apart. If you are a true master of a character, they can still do their job but if you arent a pro and havent mastered her then shes trash, which i kunda agree. I was never a good nurse player but i tried her after rework and it was disgusting how much id hold blinks to go through a wall only to be a pixel short and go nowhere

What they should have done was deal with the addon issue and see where she landed...longer fatigue would still hold similar problems..the real problem is she has too much downtime and weaker map pressure..now with ruin gone..not good

Who would have thought that making a killer virtually impossible to play against half-decent survivors would sink their pick rate!

i recorded the results for 120 consecutive survivor games.

Of that i was between ranks 15 and 1. And i only faced 2 nurses, the joint lowest killer from my experience

I don’t think I’ve played against a single nurse in the past like two months. And it’s really no wonder that nobody is playing her. Every nurse I played against when her nerf went live didn’t kill more than 1 person.

As for playing her...let’s just say that I switched to spirit almost as soon as her nerf came out. She’s annoying and boring to play as even if it’s still possible to get 4k’s on her. The recharge mechanic was a horrible idea and I sincerely hope they plan on getting rid of it.

Very, very rarely see a nurse anymore. When I do she gets destroyed.
