Deliverance for final survivor
If you are the final survivor I think Deliverance should still work. You should not be penalized and lose one of your perks for being the last one alive.

Yes ive been saying this many times ive been the last survivor 1st hook with deliverance and its basically useless at that point

I wouldn't mind this change being added, but I think it's just gonna end up being useless because of how obvious it will be.

so you can be instadowned, slugged for 1 minute and then rehooked?
why waste everyones time, the match is over at that point.

The killer would then just stand there and wait for you to kobe off.... So it would be kind of pointless. Then if the survivor waiting to the last second before struggling... we go right back to why they won't let you struggle and get your last bit of points.
Killers complained about having to wait out the final hook stages of the last survivor, because it was just a waste of time for everyone.

You use Deliverance, I am in front of the hook.
You Dead Hard from there, I anticipate it and hit you anyways.
DS still at the ready? Wait out the timer.
Hatch is nearby? Close it.
Adrenaline? Bait out the Dead Hard again and down you anyways.I forgot Adrenaline is an exhaustion perk. :PConclusion? This would all just be a waste of time for everyone involved.

If you are close enough to the exit gates and they're opened you could crawl or use ds if the killer picks you up.

While it does suck you should avoid that situation in the first place
When other survivors are on deadhook and you haven't been hooked yet it's better if you start interacting with the killer
Even if you go down fast, a hooked survivor is still better then a dead survivor. Especially if you have Deliverance

The number of times that would be relevant is pretty slim and would likely be slimmer if people kept that in mind and unhooked away from the Exit Gates.

As appealing as adding an additional 1.5 to 2 minutes of absolutely wasted time to a game... No thanks.

do you have any idea how rare this scenario is?
also, you, the survivor, screwed up. why do you want ANOTHER second chance? you already have tons and tons of these already!
1 -
Then i guess i'll bring back "Camp the phase 1 Survivor until phase 2 or self-unhooked".

It's not about having "another" second chance. The perk itself is a second chance, although it's useless unless you're also running ds, but then the problem would be ds, not deliverance.
I was just replying to what you said; even if you camped the survivor and he unhooked himself with deliverance the truth is that the game isn't over.

Bait out the dead hard after adrenaline? Not to be that guy tho...

Oh, right. I forgot that Adrenaline is technically an exhaustion perk. :P

If anyone uses dead hard immediately after an adrenaline... you should report them for hacking, lol.

Gotta go with no on this currently, only 2 real scenarios will play out. You immediately get downed and hooked again, or you run DS and use it and get hatch. DS just hinders a lot of things tbh.

What you do with it is up to you. I've Kobed before in front of a killer and escaped. It is supposed to be a perk, you get to use it even if it wastes the killers time. They waste survivors' time a lot. I would say they should make the killer spin away when this happens, sort of how hag traps disorient survivors when it spins them.

So now you just want to buff Deliverance to get a safe escape against a Killer who has not left yet. I do not think this is necessary.

Not a safe escape, a fair fighting chance. Perks are supposed to give you a slight edge over your opponent, that is what it is there for. It is not a freebie, you've already unhooked another player, you've met the perk's defined requirements but currently don't get the reward.

I agree. At this point, it's just punishing a survivor for doing a good job you know, surviving? Sure they could predict a dead hard, or a DS and slug, but not all killers will account for these things. In this way, if a survivor is able to outplay the killer, they deserve the chance to escape. How is this a waste of time, exactly? If you don't want to waste time, you could eat the DS, killer waiting a minute is on them. If they aren't near the gate, you just down them and kill them, The Struggle phase doesn't need to happen just because you can use deliverance. If they are near an open gate, than you've been outplayed, and they are rewarded for not being hooked almost the entire match. If you want to get a confirmed kill, then you shouldn't complain that you have to counter the survivor to actually get it.

The game should try to auto-kobe for the last survivor. If you get the 4%/have deliverance, great! If not, as soon as you hit struggle the game autosacrifices you as usual.

Youll never get away. I had this happen a coiple days ago. 2 were dead, 1 was on hook in struggle and i hooked tge 4th and it was her first hook. Wgen i hooked her and saw it was her first hook i stood right in front of her and tossed my clown bottles at her feet. When she used her deliverance she made it 2 steps before i downed her again. It will always go that way.

Why do you want to waste your time? You're dead, accept it and move on.
2 -
It is a perk which should still be usable, why be penalized for not getting hooked until the end? The devs should be thinking of rewarding survivors for their skill not penalizing them. If you have deliverance you should get to use it, if you are the last survivor you should get 3/5/7 seconds of invincibility to try to get away. It is all about balancing how perks are used. Killers do not have perks which are useless is one survivor is left.
1 -
Also I use it with DS so if I get downed again I can always DS, if I get slugged I just crawl out the exit.

By not sharing hook stages you're effectively killing your team. That shouldn't be rewarded.
Also, I don't think deliverance should activate when you're the last survivor. Like some others said - it just wastes time and
3 -
Why be penalized for not getting hooked until the end? Deliverance represents a massive swing in momentum of the game. The killer just went from 1 survivor on hook to 0 survivors on hook without wasting another survivor's time. If you didn't use it earlier than the end of the game... then you messed up and messed up badly. Also if you have 3 dead friends and haven't been hooked, you have also arguably thrown the game.
As for that last bit... Killers do in fact have perks that are useless when only one Survivor is left. Discordance, Blood Echo, Infectious Fright, Forced Penance, Deathbound, BBQ, Thrilling Tremors, Hangman's Trick, and arguably Mad Grit all want to know your location.

I mean ds soulguard unbreakable is probably pretty meta still so survivors would want this change to just deliverance off get slugged unbreakable get smacked and then just bail.
0 -
Well.... let me put it THIS way... why bother? If you are the last Survivor and just got hooked, the Killer is going to watch you sac out. The ones that run off now only do it because they know you can't get off the hook. If that change were made, every Killer would simply stare at the last Survivor until they die or jump off to get instantly downed. Do you see my point? Making the change in Deliverance would be a pointless exercise involving lots of coding with no net result.
0 -
I've been hooked right next to an open exit gate. I could jump and juke. Or like I said above give the survivor 3/5/7 seconds of no damage depending upon the level of perk; minimal coding, huge payoff
.

Deliverance is a perk based on good virtue that you get from a safe hook.
It is not virtuous to be on first hook as the last survivor when everyone else is dead so no!

So the killer wipes out your entire team AND manages to catch, down AND hook you and you STILL think you should have just one more chance to escape? Is this a joke, because if so it's not funny.
