Survivor queues at rank 1 are about 1 minute for me at the moment. I've seen many killers play without Ruin yesterday and most of them still performed well and got some 4ks. I'm glad all the whiny people that got to red ranks by camping first hook at 5 gens with Ruin up will be gone soon. Red ranks is for elite players, not for advanced campers.

Couldn't agree more. My matchmaking times are a little higher, but I put that down to the console playerbase. As for Ruin, I agree with you. It's tiring to see these campers rely hard on Ruin for kills. I prefer to see a killer with some actual skill that's going to give me a good challenge, and I've had some good challenges from killers without Ruin. Too many killer mains rely way too much on that single perk. I can understand why, but at the same time, it's not a guaranteed win perk either.

With how easy it is for Survivors to pip, red ranks will be for everyone soon enough.

I think it's because all I get is 4man swf's. Are you solo? I'm not even kidding tonight alone I had 6 in a row and 2 of them even had team tag's. Though i've disappointed many, I have been doing meme builds all night, because i'm trying to find some kind of solace of fun playing killer in red ranks anymore before deciding if I quit killer for good (not the game, just killer. I still have my rank 1 survivor).

That's definitely an issue that needs to be adressed imo. Due to the new rank reset and the fact it's braindead easy to pip as survivor literally every survivor will be a rank 1 player soon. Even people who can't look behind them during a chase with just a few days of playtime are currently found at red ranks leading to an overall frustrating experience for long term solo survivors.

Exactly. From what I have seen most non-Ruin killers actually tried to mindgame most tiles whereas Ruin killers tend to often simply proxy camp and tunnel first hook for an easy win. I have to admit I've used Ruin all these years myself but I never liked it anyways so I welcome the Ruin change. Forces me to try new builds that are more fun than relying on a Hex perk anyways.

Yeah, it's more fun to mindgame in a chase than just the usual tactics of most killers nowadays. I find it's more fun and exciting when you're trying to keep one step ahead of a survivor. It keeps gameplay fresh for me and lets me experiment with builds. I might try out the new Ruin when it's released, but most likely I'll stick to my usual builds

also, you're bullshitting about the 1 minute queues. with me being rank 2, and the many streamers ive watched to confirm this (that were also red rank) had very high queue times.
maybe if you're console ur getting it good, but for PC, nada, if you're lucky you'll get into a game in 10 minutes.

Maybe it's my region or an XB1 thing (no dedicated servers yet) but my rank 1 queues are around 1-3 minutes tops which is tolerable for a 3 year old game. I'm playing survivor right now and measured the queue time. It was 55 seconds.

Many killers have already switched to other builds on XB1. Saw several Devour Hope killers instead of Ruin as it has a similar effect IF it doesn't get cleansed before it comes into play, of course. Many people panic and run around like headless chickens as soon as one gets hit with the 3rd stack haha.
Once the Ruin change goes live I will probably try the new Doctor with:
- Corrupt Intervention to slow down the game
- Whispers (+static blast) so they can't hide it out
- Enduring (so I can recover immediately forcing them to stay at pallets till I can shock/hit them)
- Devour hope/@Boss

I play Huntress with Devour. I can hide it until 5th stack. :D Now get paranoid every time you see a Huntress.

I play and enjoy both sides and like high risk high reward stuff like Devour Hope. You have to work for your stacks after all. If you get 5 stacks you deserve to mori the hell out of people 😁

Honestly what kind of survivors are you playin in red ranks? Players that use ruin and camp a hook will not win a game or get anything out of it. Sorry your story is hardly believable.

Neither has pc as its only on the ptb for now and not everyone tries that out.

Yeah around 4000 hours in the game, 5 gen chases at rank 1 with post game screenshots on my YouTube profile, numerous 1 minute 4ks at 5 gens as Leatherface. Definitely a noob. What's your YouTube again? I'm sure you have tons of 1 minute 4ks and 5 gen chases at rank 1 as well since I'm a noob and you're a pro.

Against solos camping DOES work the majority of the time even at red ranks (which is why I'm now running the new Kindred whenever I go solo survivor) especially if you're playing a killer that can get many quick hits off of it to fill their emblems. Obviously you're not gonna pip at red ranks as a facecamping Bubba who gets chaser emblem penalty for using his chainsaw, though.
