I've been playing since 2017, and let me tell you, I've been there. A lot.

Over my time playing the game, honestly, the best you can do is take a break before being tilted. If you notice yourself starting to get mad at little things in the match, take a 30-some minute break. Drink some water, get a snack, watch Youtube, whatever. Then you can come back with a fresh mind.

Here's a tip from my anger management course I took in high school:

If something is pissing you off, look away from it. Even just turning your head from the monitor can help you calm down.

I also find that taking a break and doing something else, or even trying something stupid but fun in-game can make me less mad. I do suggest having a side game that you can hop on and off of though, like Trove or Mario or something. Diversifying your gaming experience also helps you focus less on your losses

I've met all kinds of people playing this game over the course of the years. Some types of people are fairly similar:

    - one type of dbd player acts all chill from the beginning and remains pretty chill as they just don't care too much about the game in the first place. That's usually the kind of person however that doesn't play dbd "too much" and spends a lot of time on other games besides dbd.

    - then there's the angry addict that has been getting triggered by small things from day 1. That's usually the kind of person that stays angry no matter how much time passes. I always suggest to stop playing dbd completely with no exception if someone is that kind of person as there are healthier games out there that can provide just as much fun minus the "stress" that this kind of person experiences playing DBD.

    - another type of dbd player I noticed is the person that starts off chill but gets kinda salty the more time they spend playing dbd as they think they "deserve" to have a good gaming experience at all times which just isn't possible in ANY pvp game. PVP games always require luck and skill for a good experience. This type of person either quits the game, starts playing it rarely or keeps playing it in a rather sour/salty way like certain streamers who are streaming at this very moment.

I don't think there's really certain "people". It just comes down to who you are, and how you react to things. Extending from that, the things that help people calm down are different for different people too.

I think it's rather unfair to categorize people like that. Instead of thinking of them as categories, think of them as people. Have some empathy; maybe they had a bad day and want a fun game. You can't know for sure anything about people on the other side of the screen.
