because his death in the real world marked the start of his new life in the entity's realm
-
If they did somehow manage to pull that off, I imagine the killers would just come back to life in the same fashion that the survivors do. The Entity probably wouldn't be very fond of that, though, granted it made the Trials play out how they do for a reason. I think it'd intervene before or after it happened and prevent…

Meet the Dwight

I remember hearing about how the Gear Sphere (the survivor icon) was some magical and powerful tool. I always figured that was what is kept inside of the golden toolbox.
-
It sounds like whatever ritual Ash accidentally ended up performing gained its attention... In a weird way, it's implied the Necronomicon has an obscure tie to the Entity. Maybe it had its innumerable eyes on Ash for some time, and during that ritual he was left vulnerable to its influence.

LOL

Where was it written that Vigo is not in the Void? I can remember the developers saying something along the lines of that, but I can also remember them just saying that he's "no longer participating in the Trials." It's also not actually confirmed that Vigo created the hatch--at least not yet.

It might be possible that the Alchemist is Benedict, but it seems kinda unlikely. We know that before Benedict disappeared, he set off to find the MacMillan Estate after hearing about the events that unfolded there. As for the Alchemist, he only remembered that he was hanging out in an opium den, most likely smoking some,…

I don't think we really know the canonicity of the shop. It's implied that some outfits were from a survivors' past, some belonged to somebody else, and some were possibly found lying around in the Fog. It's implied that Auric Cells are used to create the outfits, whether it's the survivors harnessing them for one another…

The way the final entry talks about how he'll do anything at all to sate himself marks his complete submission to not only his hunger but the Entity itself. It specifically notes that he's willing to participate in trials again, and that he'd rip survivors and killers apart--which doesn't sound like a survivor to me. Maybe…

i don't really care how good it is, it's just a boring perk tbh
-
imagine caring
-
i'd like to know the fate of vigo and the guy who wrote the journal entries as well as to delve a little deeper into the experiments and their purpose
-
how do you know he's a brand new character? i didn't think anything was confirmed
-
i believe the archives pertain to the withering blight, meaning we will be seeing journal entries and (hopefully) cutscenes, only they'll be revealed to us in the archive's format.
-
they confirmed that the killers are kept separate, but are aware of each others' existence in an old dev stream. they have friends, rivals, etc. since then, we've gotten legion (who i imagine makes an exception to that rule) and the valentines cosmetics that show the wraith and the nurse together physically.
-
@Quol might be onto something. it could also have to do with how some killers like to hear the survivors suffering, for example, infectious fright's description reads "the cries of the unfaithful make your heart leap." i imagine that, canonically, and pertaining to the lore, survivors cries would not only vary based on…
-
yes, they are. this has not only been confirmed by the developers but is greatly evidenced in killers like the spirit as well as various descriptions and flavor text.
-
I'd actually be totally down for the survivors conversing in the lobby. There's a huge lack of how the survivors interact with one another, and I think it'd be a pretty good way of finally delving into their relationships and personality, we could even see how certain characters react to being in the Fog.
-
legion is a tragedy.
-
vigo is referred to as a guy on the wiki and i swear i can remember the developers just blatantly saying vigo was a guy in a developer stream.
-
there's two real mystery characters in dead by daylight's lore, and those are vigo and benedict baker. of course, there's always a chance the mystery figure in the hallowed blight cinematics is just that. as for benedict's journals cutting off, it's not like that really matters. we know that his entries are out of order…
-
i think it makes sense, it wouldn't be the first time the entity changed its mind. for example, it was originally going to take the spirit's father, but settled on her instead after seeing her potential. it wouldn't surprise me if some survivor ended up showing that same potential while fighting for their life in the…
-
the entity doesn't constantly physically manifest itself, i don't think, therefore it isn't really in a specific place at a specific time. if we have anything to go off of, though, the basement is confirmed to be where the trial's manifestation begins, and the entity lifts the survivors' souls into the sky when they've…
-
hopefully we'll get to hear more of vigo and his fate this coming halloween.
-
to be fair quentin should probably be dead. not being theoretical here, he just sucks
-
ash has tried to sacrifice himself before but was called out for "wanting the easy way out" which was true. something tells me that dude is just waiting for a bullet to jump in front of. still though, bill would probably be my first pick.
-
that's just the way it is, man. maybe it really does want/need to improve, or maybe it's already maximized its efficiency. maybe it does try to experiment, and somewhere out there is another area of its realm that doesn't hold trials. as far as it constantly performing necromancy, i imagine it isn't that taxing on the…
-
i feel like it depends on how they actually think and act canonically. like, is the hag's brain as ######### as the rest of her? can she even think to strategize and use her traps? the same things can be said about a lot of the killers; is rin so pissed off that she can't even focus? is the doctor so unhinged that he'd…
-
the demogorgon literally couldn't kill a twelve year old
-
whatever it is, i think it gives them enough time to get their things ready. i've always pictured a palpable fog that surrounds them, and, when it dissipates, they're somewhere else.
-
although i unfortunately don't have the link to it, i do remember them talking about this in a live stream. they just said that it's non-canon and, while they did consider only allowing one of each character per lobby, they quickly decided against it for gameplay reasons.
-
tbh killers are way harder to balance granted their abilities are much more involved than survivor perks (not to mention they still get their own perks.) i think we'd just end up with two half-assed killers that are unbalanced and unintuitive and/or boring and forgettable.
-
that'd be so bad lmao
-
so like, every outfit that comes out has a bloody variant? they've already confirmed they'll never be doing that, it'd cost way too many resources. an alternative might be to just automatically do it with an overlaying blood texture but that'd look terrible, and i do think they want to maintain quality control with the…

and then quentin smith was introduced

"but if X gets changed then so should Y" -every comment on this forum

it'd be kinda cool to see survivors have short conversations at the campfire, sort of like pre-game overwatch the developers have said before that the characters all have diverse relationships, some friendships, rivalries, romance, etc. i know i'm not the only one that would like to see the game expand on character…
-
*match starts* "aight bro im boutta head out"
-
i wouldn't mind KYF having things like console commands where you can spawn in a killer or something just to practice flashlight blinding and all that
-
are we really still doing this
-
in Identity V, every player has an in-game profile where you can view things like survivor and killer rank, win rate, match history, match count, etc. it also displays "likes" which players can give to each other at the end of each match. it really wouldn't be a perfect system for dbd but at the very least it would…
-
i think it would be kind of cool to have a qte phase in the moris where in order to eliminate a survivor you have to outskill them
-
"tapping space-bar makes the gen go faster" always makes me die laughing
-
she may not have blood on her arms but she definitely has blood on her hands
-
what a weird suggestion... changing the animation speed is not going to fix a mechanic as unbalanced as this one, unfortunately
-
anyone: "i'd like to see this aspect of the game being changed" some guy in the comments: "yeah well only if they change something from the other side!"
-
how can you actually play the game and say this without stuttering
-
this reminds me of a perk idea i had a while ago, it went something like this Jitters Skill Check frequency on all actions is increased by 10%/20%/30% All Skill Check success zones are decreased by 20%/15%/10% it's been a while since we got a jen jockey perk, hasn't it? plus it would bring great synergy to some underused…

vigil doesn't stack unfortunately
