it used to, but the healing speed bonus used to be really bad, so they buffed the bonus to 50% but then nerfed the requirement to use it2 -

Please, let it activate before the EGC starts. 99%ing the gates is such a vital strat for survivors, and forcing survivors to undertake the pressure of EGC just to get the benefits of this perk isnt …3
