They turn back on a lot of their words, but it's been said the Devs never said they wouldn't introduce monsters. They just wouldn't do non-humanoids, and the Demogorgon is humanoid.3 -

Seems solid. But remember, the Entity feeds off ALL emotion, not just hope. Even beasts have emotion, and in their case they have unbridled pure emotions. Could feed the Entity better.3 -
