I don’t think they are considered as their own person. That was just a false advertisement made by the devs. The legendary skins have no unique voice and it doesn’t even change the name in the lobby.…1 -

The new survivor isn’t really that young. I think she is atleast in her late 30s according to her voice and lore.1
