You're actually right as a console player myself. There's not much difference between the two and I have played on M&K. I prefer controller because that's what I'm used to.1 -
How to Flick with Oni on console
Move both joysticks in the direction of the attack. I was told to move them the left joystick in the opposing direction and I may have experienced success with this, but I'd do the later.1
