It sounds fine except cooldowns must decrease over time if you don't DC. Otherwise everyone will end up with 7 days cooldown and queue times will be even worse than they are now.1 -

Yesterday I played a game as survivor (rank 7). All my teammates were rank 7 or 8. Killer was rank 20.. If 6 ranks gap rule actually applies to you, you are lucky...1
