As far as I'm aware it functions exactly how it's intended, so what is there to buff? Only thing I could think of changing for it is giving it some kind of post-match BP bonus.4 -

Survivor should get a difficult skill check to jump down the hatch, or else they bang their head and close the hatch themselves.2
