The reason you are locked is because that is that killer has seperate mmr skill ranks to others so when you que you que for that killers skill level not another which is why you are locked into that …1 -

Actually it is luck. They had a chance to spawn there the spot was not gaurenteed and they could have spawned anywhere else but luck of the draw they spawned next to the totem.3 -
