I'm not excusing the patch. It's indefensible that they released something this bad. I was simply offering an answer to the OP as to why seemingly unrelated things were broken.2 -

I don't see that as a worthwhile trade tbh. Invocations are pretty bad and I don't see a way to make them worth using without a massive overhaul.2
