This is not true at least by the statements the devs have made. The whole reason the devs locked killers after the initial load screen is because they said each killer would have their own MMR score.…1 -

It is pretty pointless. Throw it in the pile with monstrous shrine and predator and just never use until it buffed or you get it while running random builds.1
