Lag Spikes since Mid Sector Patch/Engine Update
Ever since the mid sector patch when the engine was updated to Unreal 5.2 (-ish), I have been hit with debilitating lag spikes in certain outposts. Sometimes they occur at the start of the raid, sometimes they happen when I grab the gen mat, I've suffered them at the end of bases too (which is particularly frustrating).
I'm on Xbox Series S.
If I had to guess, I think that spontaneous corro cubes are the culprit. Having to process all the puddles and where they go seems to really hang things up. Second wave-heavy bases might be involved too.
It's such a shame because before the mid sector, this game ran almost flawlessly. I could count on one hand the number of lag spikes I had, and they were short/negligible. Now, I die regularly to lag or have to wait for several seconds for the game to catch up. It's not the end of the world, but I do hope something can be done to alleviate the issue.
