Highlighted Outposts / Outpost Hall of Fame
I've been thinking it would be great if particularly amazing outposts could be archived and permanently accessible to the community. An outpost hall of fame so to speak. The way I would do it is to create an additional button when given the option to give accolades. The new button would be something like "Nominate". Raiders would be restricted to only being able to nominate one outpost per day. If a raider really wants to nominate additional outpost in a given day then it would cost resources.
Then each month the game devs would review the outposts with the largest number of nominations and select a small number of them to add to the highlighted outpost section. Players could raid those outposts as many times as they want, but they will only be able to get the gen mat a single time. The outpost builder would gain some kind of bonus in terms of resources as well as the honor and fame of having their name attached to an outpost that is permanently part of the game.
I think everyone wins with a system like this. Builders gain a source of inspiration as well as an awesome goal to achieve. Raiders have a place to raid some very inspired and amazing outposts. The game devs have an additional tool to interact with the community as well as an additional draw to the game.

I've seen a handful of truly amazing outposts. Even if I'm not the one who built them, I feel it is a shame that only a limited number of players will ever come across them before they are retired to obscurity (assuming the creator even put them on social raid). Besides, what gamer doesn't dream of achieving immortality by creating something that becomes part of the game they love?

In social write "Momolepro48" and enjoy :)
1st outpost lvl 5 : 35 funny 47 artistic
2st outpost lvl 4 : 26 funny 38 artistic

i have maps that are permenantly on social that i spread within the community, some are challenges, some are educational. i also make a reputation among the players by moving from twitch stream to twitch stream. the notoriety that comes with your name is what gives your maps their legacy. i have no issue getting people to come look at my past works. i've even torn some down and rebuilt them as tool to help the community practice and learn. i don't need them to be "live" permenantly or generating me resources for them to make me feel good. it only drifts into obscurity if you do. be known and so will your creations.

I checked your maps out. You really do have a good artistic sense. I particularly liked your spaceship outpost.
