Suggestion: Two daily rewards for high-risk raiders
I saw a builder on Reddit complaining (understandably) how few kills they get, because raiders are using:
- Shield
- Phoenix pod, and
- Inch-worming
to avoid getting killed.
I sympathise with the builder, but I also understand that raiders might not like to retry a tough raid 20 times. (Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't, depending on the outpost.) So raiders should have the choice.
My suggestion is to offer an incentive for raiders to take risks. E.g. in the daily rewards:
- One large reward for completing 10 raids without using phoenix pod or shield
- One medium reward for completing 5 fast raids (speedruns)
Of course, raiders will have the choice to re-roll the challenges.
I think this would provide a good balance between choice and risk-taking.
It will also balance the current challenges which ask us to "raid with defensive weapons," and to "successfully block attacks". (Which have encouraged me to use the shield more than I did before.)
