Killers can just deny rift progression by dcing
Rift challenge was to cleanse 8 totems, did 4 in a match, huntress dcs when she realises she won’t win and I lost my progress. Pls don’t let this remain a thing

Yep, but that seems to be the way. Don't fix a problem first, just heap even more undeserved punishment as a result of it.

Well, when a Ghostface crashed in my game, I got my Progression for the Totem Challenge.
Maybe it is different between manual DC and a legit Crash.

This is why they need to actually start doing something about DC's. I'm still pretty new at the game and have been more likely to defend the devs, but their inaction on the DC problem is starting to change my opinion. . .

Survivors do the same thing.
And go take a look at 4th Tome challenges; they are virtually impossible to do for either Killer or Survivor unless everyone boosts each other.

Survivors dc way more than killers do. And most killers don’t dc unless the survivors are being particularly cruel.

Actually i think a dc effects every survivor differently.
I was swf with 2 others 2 of us gained nothing essentially black pipped with no bloodpoints earned. But one of my friends got away with all the bloodpoints he gained from that match but also depiped?

So that means killers are okay to dc?
idec if a killer dcs as long as it doesn’t affect me, but if it denies rift progress then it’s kind of annoying

Did I say that? No, I did not.
I’m just saying survivors are way more likely to dc and deny progression for killers and other survivors alike. Of course there are toxic killers. I know and have experienced this. But generally speaking, killers don’t dc unless the survivors go out of their way to make them miserable. Survivors dc literally because they are petty and salty and want to ruin the game for others.

The only reason it seems like survivors dc more is because there is 4 of them. The dc rate is probably the same for both sides. Also killers will dc because their ruin got cleansed at the start of the match there is pettiness on both sides.

So you admit that survivors dc more because there ARE more of them. It’s not an illusion - survivors dc more. Period.
And I disagree they’re equal. Killers don’t dc every other game. Survivors do.

@Ireath Exactly! Can you imagine if the statistics for DCing were higher for killers? That would pretty bad. There are always 3 extra survivors playing a game at one time. It's not surprising and I still don't get why people don't understand this. It's always gonna happen statistically speaking.
Infact, after a couple weeks hiatus I played 5 games last night and not a single survivor DCd. But 1 killer DCd after a couple of mins into the game after chasing someone for ages and 2 gens popped.

You do realize that he meant, if you were to put as a percentage, or average it (you know; that thing you do to see if two things are the same when they don't start equal?), it would probably be near equal?

And if they make a habit of it (just like all DCrs on both sides), they need to be ruthlessly banned with increasing penalties as it continues
We have dedicated servers, I'm done waiting. Put an end to this DC crap now!

I had a survivor hide in a locker all game to deny me a trap, I still got it done in that match but both sides know how to grief the challenges.

@pemberley I actually see more killers dc and we just try to survive
