Best horror movie you've watched this Halloween
Hello all you old foggies! It's that time of year again when we take some time away from DBD to watch some scary movies. What's the best one you've watched this year?
Mine has been "Day of the Animals" currently available on Amazon Prime. This creature feature from the 70's is a cheesey AF romp that will leave you thinking "What did I just watch?" It's a cautionary tale of how destroying the environment can lead to a world in which we must all wrestle giant stuffed cougars to survive.

I just watched RiffTrax version of "The Uninvited"...so stupid and good.
I am pretty sure it was Day of the Animals I am remembering. Was there a scene with "wild dogs" and was there just a ton of footage of a bird watching the hikers? And if I remember correctly, doesn't a bear maul the old guy (I think it's Leslie Nielson)??
If that's the one, then you picked a real gem of a film!!!

Hahaha Yes, that is DEFINITELY the same film! Many shots of random birds giving the camera the evil eye!

Yes! Then good pick! I had nightmares for weeks.
Knowing that somewhere out in the world there exists a human being, that at some point in that film making process, said "yes, this film is ready to be released and I am willing to PAY to have it made!"

I actually(finally) got around to watching both Scream 1 and 2, both super fantastic movies and I can definitely see why it basically resurrected the slasher genre, way more humor mixed in then I expected though.

I don't usually watch horror movies tbh, so the only one I've seen recently is Halloween. The original one in Haddonfield, not the one in the hospital.

The original Halloween from 1978, it's a yearly watch for me along with Halloween 4, wouldn't be Halloween without them. Other good horror films I watched are Friday the 13th part 2, part 3, part 4, and part 6. Also Scream, Scream 2, and Scream 3.

All great films. If you're a Friday the 13th fan, I highly recommend listening to the podcast "In Vorhees we Trust with Gourley and Rust." I rewatched the entire series so I could listen to their commentary and it is pure gold! They are doing a series on the Halloween films now on Stitcher premium.

I watched "Ma" and I think that it was awful, so I had to watch another one and I chose Tim Burtons Frankenweenie, which isn't a horror movie, but it's a creepy one and I really love all of Tim Burtons' works

I watched "Before I Wake" with a few friends the other night. I liked the concept and it played out nicely. I don't really watch horror movies that often though 😅

It's been four years since I last watched that movie, but this Halloween I was talking about it with some friends, so it came back to my mind: NekRomantik, and its successor.
It's a German low budget movie made in the late 80s, so don't expect great effects or a soundtrack NOT containing crazy synthies :D Also, it is highly disgusting and a (bit?) disturbing, but if you're into that kind of gross horror I definitely recommend it. I have a tough love/hate relationship with that movie.
I also watched Flatliners on Netflix recently and it is really well done psychological horror. Also highly recommend ^-^(and not as hard to stomach as NekRomantik :'D)

Hush is a pretty good horror movie, its about a deaf woman trying to fend off her house from a crazy guy tryna murder her. thought it was pretty creative.
