Ps4 shuts down when I open DbD
Every time I start the game the vents go loud and I have the blue screen “Ps4 overheated” for a couple of seconds before it completely shuts down.
Meanwhile, playing Detroit:Become Human in HDR (which is graphically far more demanding, just to compare how the hardware responds) the same console is completely silent and working properly.
This never happened before the Unreal Engine update that came with the Archives. I... don’t know what to do.
I could buy another PS4, but would that solve anything? Is this a common issue the devs are aware of? I mean fans were always loud with DbD, but this never happened before.

You need to vacuum the dust out of your PS4, you might wanna do this monthly.

It’s perfectly clean.

That’s what I thought but it helps me a lot

What do you mean?

I thought mine was clean but vacuuming it stopped the overheating.

It’s a PS4 PRO. I can remove the upper panel and see that there is no dust. And there’s no dust.

Please don't do this! Static buildup could fry your pride and joy. Use an air duster to blow dust out instead,

Happens to me as well since last update. If I turn dbd on immediately after starting console it's fine, but if I watch YouTube or something and then go to game it's overheats my system 100 percent of the time.

You need to clean your heatsink. There's probably a big buildup of dust there.

I don’t own one
