Every killer needs their own emblem system

As some of you might know, killers have a way to increase their rank by "pipping" and to pip you need to do well in a match, and the emblem system is gonna be the judge of how well you did, the emblem system judges how well you do by seeing how well you can control the generators, how many times you've hooked someone, how many kills did you get and overall how much pressure did you apply.

while this sounds cool on paper not every killer is capable of doing what the emblem system wants.

For example the hag and the trapper need to waste time to trap around the map, however doing so will make the generators pop in a fast speed and your emblems will decrease, and if you decide to not trap then your emblem will also decrease for the lack of pressure, imagine playing hag without setting a single trap. good luck applying pressure and hooking survivors.

another example is the plague, i play a lot of plague in red ranks but i always get the brutal killer result because her power does nothing of what the emblem system wants. you puke on the survivor then leave them, or (down them if they're in the open), you have to waste time infecting and breaking the survivors and when you chase them while they're broken the chase might not last for long. and also if they decide not to cleanse then you suffer a lot in the deviousness score for bloodpoints.

lastly the pig gets punished for getting a trap kill because you did not chase and hook them, sure the emblem system says that rbt kills count but not as much as hooking them 3 times with 3 chases.

a solution i thought of is for the game to judge each killer differently, for example trapper gets rewarded whenever survivors get trapped, pig gets rewarded for each box the survivors search and for each rbt kill.

legion gets rewarded for each deep wound stab they apply and they get rewarded greatly when someone's deep wound timer runs out.

plague gets rewarded for how long the survivors stay broken, or she gets rewarded for how many hits she got with corrupt purge. and so on.


TL;DR

every killer needs to be rewarded for using their power, some killers cant satisfy the emblem system due to their powers.

    oh yeah, bubba and billy should get rewarded for chainsaw hits, i mean i agree with you that not everyone cares about rank but it wouldn't be too much work, like i'm not asking them to draw 4 emblems for each killer. just a stats screen on how many chainsaw hits iv'e got and how many kills i got

    I stopped playing killer because of the emblem system. You can sneeze and pip as a survivor(again). But at the end of the day its about BP and Shards. Which, if you don't do good in an emblem.. you get neither.

    Stats would be amazeballs. I also wanna know why we dont have achievements for dying as a survivor.

    Multiple emblem systems sounds interesting, but we can barely get them to simply change the current system.

    The time investment for that probably wouldn't be worth it... even though it's a really good idea.

    No, the emblem system needs to be reworked and simplified. It should go something like:

    Survivors: Did you survive? Pip! Did you die? No pip, but your contribution (specifically gens and heals/unhooks) determines whether you de-pip or not.

    Killers: Did you kill at least three survivors? Pip! Did you kill two survivors? Safety pip! Did you kill no more than one survivor? De-pip! Disconnects count as kills, and also camping is ruthlessly punished with a stacking permanent gen repair speed increase for every second you hang around the hook without another survivor in proximity.

    Keep all the BP rewards and stuff for all the various kinds of actions. Harshly punish disconnects. But for the love of god, rework the terrible emblem system.

    I would assume they may be touch the emblem system, when doing rank reworks since they are tied together.

    Maybe then they may consider this idea especially if they go the individual ranks for every killer route. Which would make sense for the emblem system to be different
