Hello dear Dead by Daylight developers. I am from Russia. I really hope that you will see my appeal, because I am convinced that you communicate and support the community that you created. I play Dead by Daylight literally from the release of the game and really love it. Each time I return to her and do not cease to enjoy. I believe that you have done a great and difficult job trying to create a game the way we love it and thanks to your efforts and high-quality content that you often release that only more supports the interest in the game itself, it still remains the only and successful in its genre. How many similar games came out and so far none have surpassed Dead by Daylight. I hope this will continue, because for sure progress does not stand still and you will continue to release new and interesting characters, both licensed and original, created by you personally.
Now I would like to go directly to the reason for my appeal to you, and specifically with an unusual idea, and I decided to express it to you personally, because I am sure that you can cope if you accept it.
It will be about actor Scott Wilson, who died on October 6, 2018, from a terrible disease, namely leukemia. I want to note right away that my thoughts are serious and I have no purpose to mock. I'm not a crazy maniac and fan, but I really appreciate this person and I would not want him to be forgotten.
Surely you know the series “The Walking Dead”, filmed from the comic book series of the same name. This series is popular in many countries, as well as in Russia. It was in this series, Scott Wilson, a wonderful and sincere man, played an equally insignificant role and no less emotional character, who was loved by many no less than the main characters, namely Hershel Green. On October 6, 2018, Scott Wilson was supposed to return to the role in the series, but on the same day it was reported that he had died from an illness, which led to the sadness of many, and I still can’t recover from this loss, because it’s my favorite character in this universe.
The purpose of my appeal to you is to give food for thought, perhaps to give an idea for a new DLC and the MOST IMPORTANT thing is to perpetuate the memory of such an actor as Scott Wilson directly through your game. I believe that his character from the series fits perfectly into the concept of your game. Just imagine, the character Hershel Green in the image of Scott Wilson will live forever in the world of Dead by Daylight, people will play this character and remember for a long time, even when the series is over, because the source, namely the comic book, is already completed. Yes, I understand all the nuances that it is very difficult and almost impossible to create a model of a person who is no longer with us, in fact, how to get the right to use not only this character, but also the image of the person himself. But I want to believe and it seems to me that only you are capable of such things. After all, you have amazing people who create models of such amazing characters, not only original, but also licensed. Cases when the model of a deceased person was used in films, games, series, as far as I know were, I would like to give the Walking Dead series as an example. Despite the fact that Scott Wilson died the same day when they announced that he would return to his role in the continuation of the series, thanks to modern technology, his character still appeared in one episode.
I would like to note that in such a world-famous MMORPG game as World of Warcraft, Blizzard developers immortalized the memory of such a famous person as Stan Lee by creating an NPC in the world with his similar model and his name. The news about this was published in many online sources, which caused even greater interest in the game, both for new players and veterans.
If my idea interests you and you still realize it, I would like to draw your attention to the options for customizing Hershel Green. Season 2 of the Walking Dead, where Scott Wilson as Herschel without a beard and a neat gray hairstyle and subsequent seasons, where he appears already with a thick gray beard, and the leg that he lost in one of the episodes could be left.
In conclusion, I want to say that I really hope that you take up this idea. After all, it would be wonderful if people entering their favorite game paid attention to the character of Hershel Green in the image of Scott Wilson and never forgot him. There are a lot of young characters in the game and only one elderly man, William Bill Overbeck. Therefore, the image of Scott Wilson would fit perfectly. I would like to see more older characters who will not yield to the young in survival, and yet everything is possible in the world of Essence. And in the future, perhaps this would give you the opportunity to further collaborate with the authors of The Walking Dead and introduce more famous heroes. I believe that many old players would be happy, and the DLC from the series would bring a new audience to the game, as was the case with « Stranger Things».
