No point of beginner ranks with this matchmaking
Currently the matchmaking doesn't limit the difference in rank between you and the other players if you're between rank 20 and 16. If I'm going to play against rank 10+ at rank 18, just remove the beginner ranks and the "no depip" rule, then at least the queue times will be shorter.
I didn't wait longer than my current shortest queue time (6 min) for this match so I'd like to believe that the range shouldn't have had time to gradually expand this far. I frequently get matched against one or two rank 10-11 survivors but this time all four were rank 10 and a SWF on top of that. I'll get better eventually, that's not the problem but let's not pretend the "no depip rule" somehow gives you a better environment to learn.

@Desolate_Sands I suppose you know how fast Hex Ruin pops? I'm not excited about playing basement Hag. What's your main killer if you have one?
P.S. Hag strategy was not the point of the thread.

@Desolate_Sands It seems our playstyles are different. You're wrong that Hag is only for camping though.

@Desolate_Sands Each to their own. Hag has many ways she can be played and I'm not going to tell you what to do and what not. I don't see how your time setting up would be wasted after leaving an area, provided you didn't oversaturate it with traps.
Proof even a beginner doesn't need Ruin if the survivors are around the same skill level:

Yeah I'll be honest, through today as a rank 9 solo survivor, I was being pitted against rank 19 Huntresses that couldn't land a hatchet all match.
This was after a 2-3 min queue. It really isn't fun for either of us.

That Huntress probably had the displeasure of waiting in her own queue for 10+ minutes for that to happen.

The point of the post isnt to see how he can get better, but rather that matchmaking completely fails new players.

It's ok, she deserved to get stomped.
Camped and tunneled me the entire game and I still got out, then found out it was a survivor I played with earlier (so experienced enough to know they were just being a dick) where I literally died to get them out.

It doesn't improve as you rank up. As soon as you hit rank 10, you regularly get to play against 3 and 4-man red rank SWFs!

The only times I have lost to a Hag is because it used all its freaking traps in the basement. I know Hag is not only useful in camping, but it seems like it.

@LordGlint Thank you for this.
@JawsIsTheNextKiller Right, that 4-man group would have been perfect for a rank 10 killer. Instead they get mismatched as well.
@perezkarlo37 Not many people main Hag. She needs a different mindset than most killers and not all players want to invest the time to learn to play her to her full potential.
It's funny, I still get matched with high rank survivors like before the last matchmaking change but get the wait even longer for it.
