The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

Buying the rift before its end is a double edged sword, socially speaking.

Sure, you might be showing off (time) exclusive items, but you’re also showing your fellow players you either spent ALOT of time playing or you spent ALOT of money leveling into the high levels already, which is either impressive or sad (I think it’s the latter.)

Just played against a really sweaty killer who was showing off rift items only available in the higher levels of the premium track lol. I hope they’re enjoying themselves.

I'm about 1/5 through the rift and it's only about 1/14 over...so all I can really reply to this is...Ok.

Are you trying to say he's a nerd or something because he enjoys this game? Lol, ok, good post.

The person loves dbd but does not have time to play it, there is nothing wrong with buying tiers.

Not really since prestiging is free and it doesn’t take that long to acquire 1 million blood points, especially during blood hunts.

Nothing, it’s their decision. I’m just saying the psychological high of getting exclusive items to show off LONG before the rift even ends comes with people KNOWING you spent a lot of extra money.

Hey i've gotta say, as someone who managed to complete a lot of levels in the Rift, it's pretty fun, it adds a new objective to the game and a new feeling of progression. Yes some people have many cosmetics, or got many items from the Rift, so what ? I think it's a good thing and it shows people played for a long time and love the game ^^

Finally someone said the word Jealous. I didn't want to say it myself but that's what i was thinking. 🤷‍♀️

Calling people sad because they have free time and/or disposable income sounds a lot like jealousy.

I am pretty sure they won't care if they spent money

So people who put the time and effort into the games they like are sad now? Rift is easy to do in the first place. Between the challenges and regular playtime you should be done by the 3rd tome.

I saw a survivor with the vial on friday. Couldn't believe that they'd spend so much money this early. I know its their decision but spending so much money early on in order to get a tiny charm is ludicrous to me.

When I see someone has grinded to their level I just think "fair play". Although I laugh when I see these people spend money this early on.

The real question is why do you care OP? People can spend their money as they like.

Sorry I haven't been paying attention but will the items in the paid riff also eventually appear in the store?

Doesnt reacting this way just show you don't like the fact someone has something you don't?

The person may have just decided they didn't want to grind the tiers and paid.

They may stream so it's a job to them playing the game hence the amount of hours put in.

They may have so much disposable income it's just what they do in games.

There are many reasons and wanting to show off is just one but not necessarily THE one.

    You look green

These don't change gameplay, these are cosmetics, and the price paid for it, you can get back with extra rewards, so it's worth it, this rift thing has been the best thing yet, the challenges and extra blood helps so much for new players to try each killer cause either 1) challenge said so and 2) the bloodpoints earned, in one game (bloodhunt worked out and removed) I got 135K with survivor stew or whatever it was called cause of ritual and challenge, with ritual removed each game currently can get you 95-105K max with survivor stew and a challenge, top stuff for new players, now, I can't work out the maths cause everytime I think I worked it out I'm wrong but assuming this is right, I think I worked out the highest possible bloodpoints available, no perks just offerings and how I think it works, 5 party streamers, 40K X 5=200K bloodhunt boost= 400K + 30K ritual= 430K + top challenge= 455K

My guess with the perks that boost points gained is around 495K or 655K or 855K but I still don't fully get how it adds itself, if it adds to base for gets added to the multiplier and bloodhunt but it's one of those I'm almost sure, assuming I worked it out right, just thought I'd put something at least interesting on this post lol

Exactly! I mean it’s their choice, but it’s just so laughable someone would spend so much money already.

Maybe their buying it because they think it looks neat, and not to show off to you. Also...its 10 bucks. if your buying a rift lvl for 100 auric cells, and getting the 100 cells right back... Makes it just cost 10 bucks for the whole thing. Considering ppl already buy outfits for that much, and this person is instead choosing to spend 10 bucks on SEVERAL outfits, im not seeing the difference.

I've seen a few vial charms already and I have no idea if it's because they played or bought a lot. On the other hand - I don't really care about it. If they want to show off with it, it failed and if they only got it because they liked it: good for them. Either way it has no affect on me, so who am I to judge.
