I want to know your thoughts on DServs
Hey guys! Please don’t come in here just to take a massive sh*t on the devs or the game. Let’s be civil and respectful to everybody. However I digress, what do you guys think about the servers? I understand there are multitude of issues, but let’s talk about the pros and cons of them right now as well as what you hope for the future.

The biggest pro for me is I can play killer even if I’m on WiFi now and don’t have to worry about salt about lag in post-game chats.
the cons are it takes me 30+ to get a killer game in the first place. That, and I get randomly disconnected from survivor and killer matches every other game.

Is the matchmaking an issue due to the servers or is it an issue just on pc currently? On Xbox right now, in my experience as of lately it has been pretty good on both sides (killer/survivor). However, I typically play in the healthier more populated hours of the day for my region due to my life schedule lol.

tbh they are really good im getting 65 ping on middle east servs and it feels like 0 ping as a killer and hitboxes are way way better at surv side

I've had a good experience so far. Initially it felt wierd but I got used to it and the extra delay especially playing killer.
For now its always a green ping and I dont feel as cheated when I should hit or one shouldn't have hit me.

It's about time someone created a thread for others to share their opinions about dedicated servers, since no one has talked about them here at all ever.

Most of the games i dont notice any difference and i dont really hate dedi servers. But the thing that i want fixed the most is how impossible it is to grab survivors off of gens, ect.

The performance is garbage. Hit registration is garbage. Most of the chases depend on the rng rather than your skill. Because if you're far enough you will still get hit and killer will get his free kills. The lag compensation seems to be worthy of a mobile PVE game
My funny observation:
Most of the killers that hit from miles away and are desync'd like a kfc wifi were from Russia. Now everyone knows that Russia is infamous for it's internet quality.
It's like I would go play a shooter with 200 or even 100ms and go cry and demand to make me invicible because I lag so I should have the advantage.
That means they did a pretty good job to carry lagers. I bet that old good lagswitch is still doing it's job and it was one of the reason why we got the servers in the first place!

I had a game where I was trapped in my own traps the second I put them down.. which was weird, but otherwise I've had no bad experiences with Dedicated Servers.

As a killer it's kinda wierd to have lag, but it's still better than not playing because I'm a ######### host.

Yea I played vs Russian killers with good connection. Some of them even had good sportsmanship. But those were rare ocasions. Maybe you should play survivor more...

Been playing Nurse on them and doing just fine. I have very good wifi though lol
