Charms: Their Future

First, I think wearing all three charms is tacky. At least put one of them on the right hip. I currently wear one in the 1st and 3rd slots only so that they can actually be distinguished and it doesn't just seem cluttered. Make the second slot on the right hip.

Second, are these yet another digital bauble money sink? I hope not. I hope charms are never put on sale (besides premium rift tracks) and are never obtainable after the time period to obtain them ends. That way they become something players can feel proud to display, instead of just saying "ha, I've got money."

Feel free to add, critique, and generally discuss charms here.

Right now, I don't find them too appealing. They look good on Hooks as killer, but on survivors, they're just meh for me. Especially when certain clothing clips through them. And right now, they're just Perk icons with different colors. I'd love to see more Charms like the Claudette plushie type.

A serum vial would be pretty nice. I'd like to also be able to stick charms on Killers themselves too, not just the hook. It'd be pretty funny seeing a Killer just running around with a Claudette plushie on their hip. I'd personally just run around after a Claudette shouting 'I'm your biggest fan!' ?

Well the Claudette charm is only for survivors so that wouldn't be possible lol

Ehh they're okay. I'll probably like them better when they introduced more of them because right now I don't really like any of them.

just went against a billy that had the ultra rare charm, he probably worked rly hard and grinded eve harder just to get it, making it on sale seems kinda lame

I was a little irritated when I realized I couldn't put the bear trap on Trapper and Pig.

I only put it on the third slot, so i can see it on the butt. I wish they add more that glow and/or sparkles, like the lunar lanterns or the the other cosmetics that glow.

It would be cool if Charms had some effect outside of normal gameplay. Like "gain 50% more BP in Deviousness" or "retain offering if you escape". Maybe MAYBE have them add some very minor gameplay like "see the aura of all other survivors for 4 seconds at the start of the trial", but nothing that dramatically effects the game like perks would.

I aggressively do not care at all about charms. If I make it to the end of this first Rift, I'll probably hang the two end-of-track charms on all my killer hooks, and then disregard the rest of them forever.

They don't add anything to the game. I don't even think they look that good on survivors, because they clip so badly through so many of the cosmetics. Cosmetic outfits are neat and fun, but the charms are so meh, just as a concept. This is like the DBD equivalent of a cell phone charm.

Funny, I think it is the other way round. I like them on Survivors, but not on Killers. For Killers I would have preferred Hook Decoration which is not hanging from it, but bound around them. Or even Hook Skins.

For clothing, I only go for it, if it fits.

Regarding the Claudette and Trapper-Charm: Those are the Main Protagonists of the current Archives, I would imagine that you will get similar Charms for other Killers/Survivors when their Lore is in the Archives.

I really hope for a cute Nea and Piggy-Charm one day.

imo charms can return in furutre rifts, but the ultra rares should stay one time only things.

a little bit like legacy - show everyone you were there in Season 1 by equipping the UR vial!

I too hope that charms remain exclusive. To me, they're a good way of maintaining that "I was here" feeling that some people enjoy with exclusive skins, without making it too overt, so people don't feel so left out (which of course is the downside of exclusivity).

I can see them suddenly dissapear like my howling grounds and summer bbq items...

I don't think they're very interesting on survivor. On killer they're a bit better as they're on the hooks and you can easily see them.

I can see charms remainkng tied to the rift or maybe tied to an event somehow. Like an exclusive charm for doing 'XYX' /playing during 'XYX' kind of thing.

I dont like em really. Dont really fit the whole theme of DBD horror esque vibe that the game has.
