chapter 14 could be interesting.
Although the teaser shows the map for spirit, they can take this anywhere. It could be a family member of rins but not necessarily recent.
This brings up many things, maybe rin had a distant relative that was actually oni, or maybe just evil. Might be why her father is the way he is.
Rins father could've been possesed by a demon, maybe even the person who is linked to the mask, and a sacrifice is what could finally bring him back, and rin was the sacrifice.

I think it could be the first Yamaoka's Ancestor being awaken by the blood of his kin. I assume that since that blood of his own kin being spilled by his own sword would probably get him piss off alot.

I think it’s an old ancestor or demon. No matter what or who the killer is it’s going to look demonic.

That would be cool, instead of a nun like a lot of people thought, maybe the demon resurrected someone from a grave or tomb.
It would look pretty cool if the killer had exposed bones and looked dead
